This two-day tour combines visits to two iconic volcanoes in East Java. After pickup from your hotel in Surabaya or Malang around 11:30 PM, the drive to the Bromo area takes approximately three hours. You’ll switch to a 4WD Jeep to navigate to the viewpoint at Mt. Penanjakan, where you can watch the sun rise over the dramatic landscape of Mt Bromo, its active crater, and surrounding mountains including Mt. Batok and Mt. Semeru.
The following morning starts early, with pickup at 1 AM. The trek to Ijen Crater takes about an hour, leading you to the stunning Blue Fire phenomenon, a rare natural display that should not be missed. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for the cool temperatures at night.
