The tour was lengthy but incredibly rewarding. Our guide Levi did an excellent job. We explored various locations linked to the Battle of the Bulge as well as some fascinating sites that weren't directly related. We dedicated about 2.5 hours to the museum and visited several locations from Band of Brothers, including Foy, plus other notable sites in Bastogne.
The tour with Levi was truly remarkable and unforgettable. He picked us up on time at our hotel, and everything progressed smoothly and professionally. Levi led us to a range of intriguing sites, just as the tour promised, sharing insightful stories and historical context that really brought the Battle of the Bulge to life. His respect for history and the soldiers involved was apparent throughout the day. We highly recommend this tour and Levi to anyone in the area. Even those who might not be passionate about military history will gain a deeper appreciation for the events and enjoy the beautiful Belgian landscape along the route.
The experience was fantastic, notably thanks to an exceptional guide who was extremely knowledgeable and supportive. I strongly recommend this tour, as it ranks among the finest excursions I’ve booked. A perfect choice for history enthusiasts. The guide was outstanding in every way.
This tour is a must. Levi was fantastic, and I can't praise him enough for the experience he created. Despite the snowy and cold weather, he guided us through all the sites, sharing his extensive knowledge about WWI and the region.
The tour was truly remarkable. Levee, our guide, provided excellent explanations of the history and offered valuable insights into the stories. We visited multiple sites that painted a full picture of the battle. Using his tablet, he shared videos, documentaries, and images from the wartime era. Additionally, his anecdotes about the towns during our drive to each location added to the experience. The lunch break was also enjoyable, with tasty sandwiches available.
This experience was exceptional. Levi is a friendly and knowledgeable guide, sharing a wealth of information and stories. Our full-day tour kept us engaged throughout, and he catered to our specific requests while introducing us to local shopkeepers who treated us well. The tour provided thorough insights into the Battle of the Bulge and Bastogne's significance, with highlights including a visit to a cathedral and the birthplace of Adolph Sax in Dinan. If you're near this part of Belgium and have an interest in WWII and the Battle of the Bulge, I highly recommend booking with Levi.
I have only positive things to say about our tour and our guide, Levi. Visiting Bastogne and the battlefield held special significance for me since my dad served there as a medic. Levi shared additional insights that made my experience deeply meaningful. His extensive knowledge and passion for history were evident, transforming what could have been a good experience into an exceptional and memorable one. We made several intriguing stops en route to Bastogne, and I gained a wealth of knowledge. If possible, I would rate this tour a hundred stars.
Booking this tour is the best decision you can make for your Bastogne experience. Dismissing the single negative review as misguided, I found it incredibly valuable. The guide's extensive knowledge and genuine passion for these historical sites was truly moving. For instance, while at Bois Jaques, I saw Levi pick up a discarded napkin, quietly expressing his disappointment and reverence for the site. If that shows dedication, I don't know what does. I initially considered renting a car to explore on my own, but I’m so thankful I didn’t. I covered in one day what would have taken me three, plus Levi highlighted many unique points of interest along the way. This tour is fantastic!
Levi came well-equipped with maps and diagrams that offered valuable context. The stops en route to Bastogne highlighted personal stories and experiences. The three-campus museum in Bastogne is beautifully curated, and Levi provides insightful commentary, so it's beneficial to stay close to him while there. The visit to the German cemetery and memorial chapel served as a poignant conclusion. While it’s important to remember the sacrifices of the Allies, it's equally significant to acknowledge the unnamed German soldiers resting there, whose stories remain untold. The 90 km ride back to Brussels allowed for reflection and further discussion with Levi.
Levi served as an excellent tour guide, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of all our inquiries. The tour itself was fascinating, allowing us to experience sights we might have missed otherwise. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a knowledgeable guide.
