Markha Valley Trek in Ladakh

A week-long trekking itinerary exploring the Markha Valley, starting from Leh. The trail runs for seven days, taking you through traditional Ladakhi villages where you may encounter local nomads herding yaks. The trek follows the scenic Markha River, with lush farmland flanking your path.

The highlight is Nimaling, where you camp for a night with views of the glaciated Kang Yangtse peak rising to 6,400 metres. The trek culminates at Kongmaru La, at 5,265 metres, offering panoramic views of the Kang Yangtse and the Nun-Kun peaks, extending north toward the Tibetan border. Be prepared for varying altitudes and bring suitable trekking gear.
