What a beautiful day spent on the Queen paddle boat. The music, drinks, and food were fantastic. This is the ultimate way to experience Lake Tahoe.
The overall experience lasted about 2.5 hours from start to finish. We appreciated the pre-recorded audio guide, although it could have been louder for better clarity, especially with some loud visitors around. Seeing Emerald Bay from the boat was stunning and offers a far better perspective than driving around the lake. The boat has ample seating with two levels for dining and options for food and drinks. They take a photo before boarding and sell it for $45, but we found the print quality lacking, looking quite faded.
The bathrooms were clean and the staff friendly, but our experience was disappointing. We were promised a spot on a paddle wheel boat, but were switched to a smaller vessel due to maintenance. This boat lacked a galley for fresh food preparation, leaving us with a questionable small buffet. Additionally, the limited seating and space on board was inadequate for the number of paying guests. My husband and I have traveled with Viator many times, and this was by far our least favorable experience.
Experiencing Lake Tahoe from the water is perfect. We had a lovely sunny day and appreciated the outdoor seating (indoor seating was also available). The crew was friendly and accommodating. A photo is taken of your group as you board the boat, and you can purchase it later. There was commentary about the lake, though it was hard to hear outside when it played, possibly due to a glitch with the “new” boat's system. We would suggest this tour.
My wife and I enjoyed the cruise. The crew was wonderful, and the food was tasty. It was a very pleasant experience overall. The only downside was that we were switched to a smaller boat due to a mechanical issue with the Dixie, which was the one we were meant to be on.
The food and drinks complemented the breathtaking views perfectly. Every crew member was friendly and had a wealth of knowledge to share.
We were moved to a smaller boat, but Joe, the barkeeper, was fantastic and the entire experience was incredible.
The cruise was fantastic, with excellent staff and delicious food. The commentary provided insightful information about the lake and its surroundings, and the boat itself was nice.
I had a wonderful day at Lake Tahoe, with Emerald Bay being the standout feature. The lunch was also enjoyable.
The boat ride on Lake Tahoe is truly worthwhile. The scenery is breathtaking, and the crew is very professional. The captain even provided lunch for the guests. I highly recommend this experience.
