Roberta served as a fantastic tour guide, bringing the history of this charming port city to life. The food stops and engaging conversation made it a wonderful experience. This tour offers a perfect way to explore and appreciate the Ancient City, highlighting spots you'd likely miss on your own. An outstanding value!
Luisiana served as an outstanding guide. The tour's pace was perfect, and the city's history was captivating. The food offered throughout the experience was also quite tasty.
We arrived in Civitavecchia a day before our cruise and chose this tour. Raf was a fantastic guide, clearly passionate about her city. We participated in the 3:30 pm tour, which included three food stops: gelato, pizza, and a sit-down restaurant offering an Aperol, Campari, or limoncello spritz, along with a generous selection of antipasto and bread. However, the first food stop came quite late in the tour. As mentioned by others, the food stops need better spacing, especially for families with children, since there was a lot of walking and history before we could rest and snack. Nonetheless, the pizza was amazing and authentic, highlighting local toppings, and we enjoyed so much at the final restaurant that we didn't need any more food that evening. The restaurant allowed us to linger as long as we wanted, making for a delightful first evening in Italy.
The guide possessed excellent knowledge about the city and its surroundings, making it enjoyable to listen to her and inquire further. The local tastings were also quite delightful.
Roberta was an excellent guide, full of knowledge and captivating insights. The food was abundant and delicious.
The experience was very enjoyable, with excellent food included. The walking was easy, and Tania was incredibly knowledgeable about Civitavecchia. It’s surprising how beautiful and historic Civitavecchia is. One suggestion for future visitors is to recommend places to store luggage while on the tour since many may be coming from or heading to a cruise ship.
I meant to say "pretty city" instead of the typo "pity city."
Avoid having breakfast before the trip. You'll have plenty to eat during the tour. We were advised about this but didn’t heed the warning.
Having visited Rome several times, we wanted to explore the port when our cruise ship docked. Choosing this option was a great decision, especially with Raf as our guide. She was exceptional, providing extensive historical insights and excellent food recommendations. We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast, a nice snack, delicious pizza, and an ample lunch that was too much for us to finish. Raf ensured everyone had a great experience, with plenty of restroom breaks, and her enthusiasm for her work was evident. This is an opportunity not to be overlooked.
We had a fantastic tour led by the friendly and outstanding guide, Natalina. Thank you, Natalina, for being one of the best guides we've experienced in Italy. The combination of history and food tasting made for a delightful outing.
