The guide did not meet expectations. We saw several key landmarks, including the Forum, yet she failed to highlight them. This was quite disappointing since it was part of our itinerary.
Our experience was very disappointing. I urge you to consider this before making a reservation. We were instructed to be ready outside by 8:20 AM, but our driver arrived at 8:40 AM, ten minutes late and smelling strongly of smoke, which caused my daughter to need her inhaler. He spoke no English, and when we asked questions about our itinerary, he drove us silently to Rome. Upon reaching the Colosseum, a woman who appeared to be related to him approached the van and spoke to the driver for about ten minutes while we remained inside, unsure of what was happening. Once allowed out, we received little guidance; the woman introduced herself as Nadia, our guide. We were quickly taken to the front for a brief three-minute overview using a textbook picture. Our group of eight members had to repeatedly take selfies as she didn't offer to assist with a group photo. At the Colosseum, we had only 20 minutes, with half of that spent walking back to the van. The driver parked far away, making it difficult for us to navigate cobblestones with a wheelchair. Additionally, Nadia insisted on joining us in the van, meaning we were now crammed into a nine-seater that accommodated ten passengers—very uncomfortable, especially since the driver continued smoking while waiting. We all began sneezing and coughing. The drive to the fountain took 45 minutes, and Nadia did not help with our wheelchair or take any photos, leaving us to ask strangers. Do NOT choose this tour company. We anticipated 60 minutes at the Vatican, but the guide wanted us back in just ten minutes. We're truly disappointed. We spent over $4,000 for an experience that felt completely unworthy. Save your money by taking the train from the port and opting for a golf cart tour—at one-tenth the cost, you will find a driver who speaks English and takes your photos.
