My time with Lorenzo was fantastic, and the Vie Cave were a wonderful surprise. The highlight of an already perfect day was the tasting of wines and local delicacies. This experience is definitely one to not overlook.
Lorenzo Terzoli provided an incredibly personal and enriching experience during our hike. He ensured we navigated the Maremma woods safely while also deepening our understanding of the individuals who have inhabited this area for thousands of years. His passion inspired us to share in the hope for the ongoing preservation of this stunning region.
Lorenzo guided us on a fantastic hike through the via cave, providing insightful information about the area's history and notable sites. Walking along the carved paths was enchanting. The wine tasting afterwards took place in a remarkable location that was definitely worth experiencing.
Our time with Lorenzo was fantastic. The afternoon hike focused on the historical and spiritual significance of an ancient path. Afterward, we enjoyed wine, cheese, and meats in a historic winemaking cellar. Lorenzo was very knowledgeable. It was a great afternoon.
This was an extraordinary experience with our guide Lorenzo. He led us through the Etruscan streets around Pitigliano, sharing the captivating history and hidden secrets of these ancient pathways. After the walk, we enjoyed a tasting of local products in a cellar carved into the tuff, which were all exceptional. Lorenzo displayed a profound understanding of the area and a true passion for his craft. I highly recommend this for anyone seeking an immersive and unforgettable experience.
Lorenzo is an outstanding guide, brimming with knowledge, engaging conversation, and positivity. The hike was fascinating, rich in history, and he answered all our inquiries. We explored the via cave and learned about its historical significance. The tasting afterwards featured top-notch ingredients like wine, cheese, salami, and wild boar jerky, all in an authentic cantina with stunning views and enjoyable discussions. This experience has been a standout highlight of my trip, and both my sister and Nonna share this sentiment. It is definitely essential to experience.
We had an exceptional day exploring Pitigliano and the surrounding area while hiking. I coordinated a personalized "hybrid" tour with Lorenzo that matched our fitness level, blending scenic trails and interesting sites. Lorenzo was always quick to respond to my inquiries via WhatsApp, even with the 8-hour time difference. His enthusiasm for the region was evident, and he eagerly shared his love for it. Although some trails were quite tough (I recommend bringing hiking poles; I used lightweight collapsible ones), the effort was worthwhile, and he could customize an easier hike if desired. The experience also included a tour and lunch at a unique, off-the-grid winery run by a passionate young female winemaker, which was both fascinating and enjoyable. Italy's stunning beauty in this area is still relatively undiscovered by tourists, so I encourage others to explore with a Red Road tour before it becomes too crowded.
We experienced an excellent tour with Lorenzo at the "Vie Cava" in Pitigliano, where we gained fascinating insights into Etruscan life. Lorenzo was a personable guide who adjusted to our pace and allowed ample time for questions and explanations. During the 3-hour trek through the various "Vie Cava," we not only enjoyed the natural scenery but also learned about the impressive canyon-like paths and their origins, helping us envision life 3000 years ago. The wine tasting afterward in a historic cellar added an authentic touch and offered further insights into how the cellars beneath Pitigliano might appear. The area itself is charming, filled with beautiful narrow streets, shops, bars, and restaurants that have flourished over time.
The itinerary was highly engaging, and Lorenzo showcased his extensive knowledge about Etruscan history. We also discussed the contemporary customs of the local people. By the end, I felt worn out but truly satisfied. It was an incredible experience.
The tour with Lorenzo through the winding streets of Pitigliano was stunning and incredibly informative. Lorenzo's deep knowledge and passion for his work and the area made the experience feel like a journey into the history of these unique places. I was truly captivated! Without his insight, I would have missed the true beauty of these hollow paths. To top it off, enjoying some local wine and products was perfect. I highly recommend this tour with Lorenzo; it is worth every moment. I look forward to more adventures and stories to share in the future.
