  Perfect

  My 12-year-old daughter's confidence significantly increased during her 2 hours in the water with Shane. I arrived just in time to witness her catching her first of three waves. I observed Shane coaching her on how to get her board past the break. He skillfully set her up for success, patiently waiting for the right wave, relocating as needed, and giving her a gentle push to maintain her momentum into the surf. By the end, it was evident she had absorbed all the lessons on reading the ocean and picking the right wave. It was truly wonderful to watch. We were both very happy she had this experience.

  Super Fun Surfing

  My son, who is 20, had an incredible time surfing with Shane. Even though it was his first lesson, Shane's patience and guidance helped him catch multiple waves. I enjoyed the experience as well, though I stayed somewhat in the background. I was able to capture some great photos to remember the day. Thanks, Shane!

  It was going so SWELL until this wave showed up.

  Jaeson is the most professional and knowledgeable instructor you could hope for. If you're in Laguna Beach, take the opportunity to spend a few enjoyable hours learning to surf with him.

  Great experience had an absolute blast!

  I had an amazing afternoon; it was such a blast! The instructors were excellent, and I managed to catch several waves at a beautiful beach. It’s a great location to enjoy the whole day. Two hours in the water was just right for someone starting out.

  Although surfing isn't my thing, I really enjoyed my experience! The wave sizes were somewhat intimidating, but my instructor was fantastic in helping me overcome that. I definitely recommend this place for surf lessons.

  What a great experience!

  My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our surfing lesson with Hunter on the 4th of July. Laguna Beach boasts some of the most stunning beaches I've encountered, and the laid-back atmosphere of the seaside town is very relaxing. I opted not to wear a wetsuit since I’m used to colder water, and it felt refreshing. We valued Hunter's patience and had a great time during our 2-hour session. We strongly recommend this company and him.

  Surfing with Dolphins

  Instructor B provided a fantastic first surfing lesson for my teenager. He was friendly, enjoyable, and maintained a professional demeanor. His playful energy was perfect for a beginner who needed to learn from wipe-outs and keep trying. Additionally, the lesson featured playful dolphins close by, along with giant cranes diving and a variety of birds and colorful fish in the stunning blue-green waves. My daughter can’t wait to return for another lesson this year. If we come this way again, La Vida Laguna will definitely be part of our itinerary.

  Hunter from La Vida Laguna was an incredible surf instructor! As a first-time surfer with larger-than-usual swells, I was eager to ride the waves. Hunter guided me through every step and ensured I caught the appropriate waves based on my skill level. It was an enjoyable experience, and I had a fantastic time! I highly recommend it.
