We participated in an Elqui Valley wine tour and an astronomical tour with Cristobal from Turismo TEMBETA. Cristobal picked us up from our Airbnb and provided an informative drive through La Serena, sharing insights about the city and Chile's wine history. His bilingual skills were beneficial, as my partner speaks both Spanish and English, while I only speak English. During the wine tour, although some guides communicated solely in Spanish, Cristobal ensured I understood it all by translating. We explored local wine shops, vineyards, and Pisco distilleries, sampling various wines. The lunch was delightful, featuring generous portions of traditional Chilean cuisine, complemented by a Pisco Sour. The empanadas were among the best I’ve ever tasted. After enjoying the wine tour, we opted to join Cristobal for the astronomical tour, which was equally impressive. The towns in the valley are charming and inviting, and we loved wandering around to take in the sights. Cristobal is friendly, engaging, and made both experiences enjoyable. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the Elqui Valley really stood out. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend Cristobal and Turismo TEMBETA.
