We had a fantastic experience with our guide and driver, Ferdinand and Christian, who were both excellent. We explored more than we had anticipated, with many intriguing sights. There was plenty of laughter and engaging conversation along the way. The lunch at a yacht club was fantastic, making it a truly wonderful day.
We met Fernanda at the Port in Coquimbo, and she provided us with an outstanding tour of the city and museums in the La Serena region. Fernanda took us to the Presidio, located on a hill that offered stunning views of the area. We toured the Officers Club, gaining insights into the military presence in this part of Chile. Highlights included the Cross on the hill and an unexpected pirate show at the old fort, which was a lot of fun. She also took us to a lovely waterfront restaurant in Coquimbo, where the food was excellent. This is a tour and guide I highly recommend.
This tour was incredibly enjoyable. Our guide, Giovanna, brought great energy, and we had a lot of light-hearted fun teasing her. Although our driver, Marcello, didn't speak English, we managed to communicate in enjoyable ways. Both of them were attentive to our experience. The tour itself was very engaging and informative. We particularly loved our lunch, especially since Giovanna and Marcello joined us.
We were let down by the museum being closed. However, the tour was overall fantastic. The guide and driver were excellent—professional, adaptable, friendly, and well-informed. They made an effort to create special experiences for us. Lunch was superb, and we thoroughly enjoyed our day.
This tour was truly excellent. We opted for a private experience with Christian and another guide, who unfortunately I can't recall by name, but he was fantastic. Having lived in the US for several years, his English was outstanding. During our time in Coquimbo on a cruise stop, they fully utilized every minute we had in port, taking us to various sites including the museum, multiple churches, the Japanese garden, Plaza de Armas, the English cemetery, La Recova market, the military base, and more. Their pride in their country and community was evident as they shared a wealth of interesting history throughout the tour. The view from the Cruz del Tercer Milenio was stunning; many fellow passengers expressed disappointment that their tours did not include a visit to the Cross itself, only catching a glimpse from afar. The lunch provided was also delightful. I highly recommend this tour.
