It was an incredible day in the stunning Elqui Valley. The local agency Tembeta provided exceptional service, and our guide Martin was highly knowledgeable. We enjoyed visiting the charming Pisco Manufacturer and museum, and the lunch at the solar restaurant was fantastic. Exploring Gabriela Mistral's home and various beautiful villages made it a truly memorable experience in the Elqui Valley.
I had a fantastic day with a guide who was very well-informed. As the only English speakers in our group, he made a special effort to include us by translating everything into English.
Traveling solo, I had an outstanding experience on the Grand-Tour Valle del Elqui. My guide, Martin, was not only fluent in English but also entertaining. He connected me with locals and took me to places I would never have accessed alone. A highlight was visiting the Solar Restaurant and joining a cooking class with the women there, which was unforgettable. It was a stunning day, and I must have done something right because our meal was fantastic. Martin also pointed out several edible plants and seeds, impressing my friends when I shared what I learned. The entire experience was more remarkable than anything I could have planned by myself. I can't emphasize enough how great my tour with TEMBETA was—just sign up and see it for yourself. Enjoy!
Our day with Luis and Olga was truly delightful. They possessed extensive knowledge of the Elqui Valley and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. From sampling papaya and pisco to exploring the reservoir and vineyards, we had an educational and enjoyable experience at every stop. They are wonderful people, and this was an excellent tour.
It was an engaging day filled with variety. I gained insight into The Valley, the dam's construction, and local agriculture, experiencing the lifestyle of the inhabitants. Learning about Gabriela Mistral added depth, and visiting the observatories was a highlight. Our guide Natita provided a wealth of fascinating stories and information.
This tour provided a fantastic way to spend a day. Over nearly 9 hours, we explored a lot of area. Cristobal, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about Chilean history and culture. The selected points of interest were excellent, especially dining at a restaurant that utilized solar cooking. Cristobal effectively accommodated both English and Spanish speakers, effortlessly transitioning between the two languages. The organization of the tour was impressive, balancing stunning landscapes with wine and pisco tastings and historical insights. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience this beautiful region of Chile.
Elqui Valley is truly captivating. The locals are exceptionally warm and friendly, and their vibrant energy is wonderful. The tour itself is both beautiful and impressive. Rene and Mark are outstanding hosts. The pyramids left a great impression on me, and the night tour was magical. I cannot express my gratitude enough.
The tour did not meet our expectations. We booked an English tour, but no one spoke English, making it hard to understand the experiences. We were particularly excited about the pisco tour. The driver remained on the bus and seemed uninterested, only explaining our stops when asked. At the winery, they were unprepared for our arrival and had to rush to accommodate us.
Our fascination with Gabriela Mistral was truly met on this tour. Chris, our guide, tailored the experience for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting her library, statues, home, and museum. We learned a lot and had a fantastic experience. He was very accommodating to our 87-year-old friend.
