This three-hour private painting session takes place at Domaine de Monplaisir in the picturesque Borderies region of Cognac. You’ll begin with a tour of the vineyard and Jeanne’s studio before moving outdoors to capture the scenic landscape. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, indoor studio painting is also an option.
Participants at any skill level are welcome; beginners receive all the basic materials needed, while experienced artists can bring their own supplies. Jeanne Maze, a professional artist and vineyard owner, will guide you through various mediums like pastel, gouache, and oil, helping to enhance your outdoor painting skills and technique. Attendees can expect to leave with increased confidence in their artistic abilities.

This experience was truly unique and fabulous. Painting among the vines was a joy. Jeanne, an exceptional artist and wonderful teacher, made it even better. It was fascinating to learn about Cognac traditions and vineyard operations. Our workshop concluded with a delightful tour and an excellent afternoon tea with Robert and Jeanne.
Meeting Jeanne and learning about her remarkable family history, as well as seeing her artwork and the vineyard, was enjoyable. However, I was let down that we didn't actually get to paint or sketch as advertised. There was no hands-on experience nor personal feedback provided, leading to my 2-star rating. It's a shame, as Jeanne was very lovely.
