• Pickup will be arranged from the cruise ship, hotel, or accommodation, followed by a 25-minute journey where general information about Mallorca, its language, traditions, and the UNESCO-protected mountain range of La Serra de Tramuntana will be shared. • The walking tour of the village begins with stops at notable locations, including the Carthusian Monastery (viewed from outside), which hosted composer Frédéric Chopin and writer George Sand during a winter stay. You will learn about the monastery's beautiful gardens, history, and significance. You will also hear about Catalina Tomás, the village's patroness, and her miracles. If you wish to sample a local treat, "Coca de Patata" is available. *Please note that entry tickets to the Carthusian monastery, the cell of Chopin, and other expenses are NOT INCLUDED. • The viewpoint called "Mirador de Sa Foradada" offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the rugged coastline. This site features a rocky peninsula with a notable natural hole ("foradada" translates to "pierced" or "holed" in Catalan), and it is especially favored for sunset viewing when the sky is painted with vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples that enhance the landscape's beauty. • The visit to Palma Old Town, also referred to as "Casco Antiguo," takes you through over two millennia of history, culture, and development. The journey begins in central Palma, where remnants of the Roman Empire, Madina Mayurqa, and the Crown of Aragon become apparent. As you navigate the narrow, winding streets of the Old Town, you will find charming shops, traditional Mallorcan courtyards known as "Patios," ancient walls, numerous Gothic churches, and a blend of modernist buildings, along with intriguing stories and hidden treasures pointed out by your guide, including the legend of "Drac de Na coca," a monster from the city's lore. • A visit to the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria, commonly known as La Seu, is included. This Gothic architectural marvel, located at the shoreline, is famous for its impressive design and stunning stained glass windows. Your guide will discuss its construction, which began in the 13th century and extended over nearly 400 years. You should take note of the colorful light cast on the stone interior through the windows, along with Antoni Gaudí's contributions within the church. **OPTIONAL: Entry tickets to the Cathedral are NOT INCLUDED (10€/person), but if interested, you can enter and bypass the line.
