Istranka's tour allowed us to visit both Lake Bled and Ljubljana during our cruise stop in Koper, unlike the ship's excursions that only covered one. Communication with Ivan was excellent; he quickly confirmed our reservation and his kiosk was easy to locate upon leaving the cruise terminal. Marco, our driver and guide, was fantastic and very accommodating during our visits. The minivan was comfortable for our group of two retired couples, and we enjoyed leisurely strolls at both stops, along with coffee and tasty local lunch breaks. We had plenty of time to take in the stunning lake views and the beautiful city, and Marco provided insightful commentary and recommendations, like trying the local cream cake. Overall, an excellent experience.
Poilez, our guide, was waiting right outside our ship to greet us. His excellent English and knowledge made the day enjoyable. He proposed an itinerary that helped us make the most of our time. Everyone had a fabulous experience, and we returned to the ship with plenty of time to spare. I would highly recommend this tour group.
The guide was friendly and well-informed, sharing valuable insights about Slovenia. However, the 110-minute drive to Lake Bled felt excessive for the activities involved. The boat trip to the island was pleasant, but the long travel time didn’t seem justified. Ljubljana was a charming city and certainly worth exploring; it was just over an hour away from the port.
Goran was an excellent guide. Everything went well, although the weather wasn't ideal. Our group of three couples had a wonderful day overall.
Our guide, Primos (not sure about the spelling), was exceptional. He provided information and anecdotes about the sites we explored and adjusted our itinerary when we became fatigued. His pride in Ljubljana was evident, making us feel like we were touring with a friend. We highly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
We arranged this private tour just two days prior to our port day in Koper after our original tour fell through. Marco greeted us at the ship, and we headed to Lake Bled. It was an excellent day as he guided us on how to maximize our time. We explored Bled Castle, savored Bled cream cake, and took in the stunning views of the lake. Next, we traveled to Ljubljana and strolled through the old town. Marco shared many interesting facts and historical insights about Slovenia, making it a wonderful experience.
This tour was fantastic and an ideal way to experience a lot of Slovenia in just one day. We had ample time at each stop, appreciating the stunning Lake Bled and savoring local pastries while exploring the charming city center of Ljubljana.
The guide was outstanding, displaying a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the country. The hike to the castle is quite steep, and be aware that admission is not included.
This tour with Marco was outstanding. He was a very knowledgeable guide who knew how to balance information without being too intense. It rained throughout the day, but Marco accommodated the four of us wonderfully. I highly recommend this experience and suggest you request Marco!
We enjoyed a fantastic day exploring Lake Bled and Ljubljana. This excursion is an excellent choice for cruise ship passengers, offering much more than typical cruise-organized trips. Our guide, Karmen, was wonderful—very friendly and knowledgeable about the region and its people. I highly recommend both this tour and Karmen.
