Piran is a wonderful little town with charm. The guide was decent, but she spoke about sights that were not visible from the bus, causing us to lose interest at times. Although she wasn’t bad, she referenced a clock tower that we didn’t see in our vicinity.
We had a delightful time in Piran. The town features beautiful architecture and charming winding streets. There are plenty of dining options, and the locals are very welcoming. Our guide shared a wealth of information during our journey, and we enjoyed an hour and 45 minutes to explore before returning. It was a fantastic morning in this quaint town.
Finding the starting point was a breeze. The driver and guide were welcoming and shared plenty of insights, making sure I understood despite my limited English, even using Italian. They were prompt for both the departure and return. Piran is truly beautiful.

The connection to Italy and Croatia was fascinating. We concluded the journey in the lovely town of Piran, where I enjoyed the best gelato ever. Slovenia exceeded my expectations, and I would certainly return!
Piran is a charming town, and two hours is sufficient to explore it. During the 40-minute bus ride, we received some interesting historical context before having free time to wander. Old Town Koper is quite fascinating, and the elevator to reach it is convenient. Unfortunately, the palace was closed for a wedding when we arrived, which was disappointing.
