She introduced us to Valdi, an enthusiastic truffle hunter, and his adorable Labrador/Golden Retriever mix, Bistra. Jerneja provided insights into Bistra's extensive training and shared interesting facts about truffles. Even with the rainy weather, Bistra found three truffles during our 45-minute hunt, which was thrilling. After our hunt, we returned to Jerneja’s home for the cooking segment. She skillfully guided us in making a delicious fuži pasta dish using the fresh truffles we gathered. Jerneja also offered valuable tips on identifying genuine, fresh truffles in restaurants, which was very helpful. The meal included wine, juice, and delightful appetizers, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere.
