Our guide, Andi, was excellent; he was friendly and provided valuable insights into the country’s history and the lives of its people. However, the tour did not meet my expectations. We didn’t visit Piran, which was a primary reason for my choice, and while Andi mentioned that they discontinued that stop due to overcrowding, the tour description should have been updated. Additionally, the tasting experience was underwhelming. Although the wine was good, the other items we sampled—donut, gelato, a liqueur, and a large cookie or more gelato—were all sweet treats. I had anticipated trying some cheese or meats or other traditional foods instead of just desserts.
We recently went on this tour as part of our Norwegian Cruise Line experience, and I found it quite enjoyable. The tour began with a drive through the city, where we made a stop for photos. Our guide, Natasha, was very kind. Next, we visited a stunning winery with beautiful views and a wine fountain, where we sampled a wine included in the tour price. We spent about 30 to 45 minutes there before heading to Koper's town center. We explored the area and enjoyed some gelato. Unfortunately, the donuts were sold out, so we opted for cookies and tapas instead. Overall, it was a relaxed and enjoyable tour.
Our group arrived for the tour but found the Kopertours kiosk closed. The provided phone number either spoke Slovenian or was incorrect in English. After waiting an hour with no sign of the tour, I reached out to support; they eventually contacted the operator, who apologized and issued a full refund that same day. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t choose this service again.
Natasha served as an excellent tour guide, sharing her extensive knowledge with us. We enjoyed some additional sights during the tour. I highly recommend this experience, especially with Natasha. Koper and its nearby cities, along with the food and wine tastings, were delightful.
The locations we explored were stunning, and our guide, Natasha, provided engaging insights and historical context. The walking portion was rich in history and captivating details. A microphone for Natasha would have been useful due to the crowd, but she did her utmost.
It was a fantastic opportunity to explore the area and its cuisine. I've enjoyed every tour I've taken in the past as well.
The tour guide was fantastic and provided us with a wealth of information about Slovenia's history. The local tastings were also very enjoyable and delicious.
I wouldn't recommend this. We received five coupons but only had the chance to taste one wine. The guide was excellent, and the winery had a lovely view and delicious wine, but we were only given one glass. I had anticipated more tastings.
We were collected promptly from the dock in a comfortable bus with nice seats. Our guide, Mateja, was fantastic—very informative, providing detailed insights. The tour included stops at stunning locations with beautiful views and delicious food, exceeding our expectations. I highly recommend this tour for a wonderful day of sampling food, enjoying amazing sights, and learning about Slovenia.
The location was great, though our tour guide was late and seemed uncertain about the itinerary. However, we had a wonderful time on the wine tour, and our guide was well-informed about the region.
