From the beginning, it was clear that Cass and Cam were very attentive to both my needs and those of the couple who joined the tour. The crossing to land at Ft Duvernette was challenging, but the option to be towed was reassuring. The boat was not your usual kayak and felt somewhat flimsy, but it provided great underwater views. They allowed us ample time to climb the steps for a better view and to snorkel around Young Island, where the snorkeling experience was exceptional, showcasing a variety of fish and coral. The rum punch was a delightful bonus. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had an excellent time. The kayaks were ready for us right on the beach, and our guide followed in a motor dinghy to help tow kayaks if needed. The hike to the castle is better suited for younger individuals, but even halfway up, the views are stunning. The snorkeling reef was beautiful, and our guide was attentive to those who wandered off. Overall, we had a fantastic afternoon and highly recommend it. Tip: Each person received a small juice and a little rum punch. If you'd prefer not to drink alcohol in the sun, consider bringing an additional small bottle of water.
I highly recommend this experience! Our guide was friendly and accommodating, offering complimentary drinks and allowing us to enjoy each part at our own pace. If you go snorkeling, expect to see plenty of sea urchins!
The service was outstanding, and I highly recommend it. The follow-up care is an added benefit as well.
Our group of eight ventured out beyond Young Island to Fort Duvernette for an adventure that included kayaking, snorkeling, and hiking, along with lunch and drinks. The water was quite choppy on our visit, which limited visibility through the crystal kayaks. The fort was interesting, but the hike can be challenging, so good water shoes are advisable due to loose rocks. Lunch was satisfactory, featuring items like meat sandwiches, pepperoni and crackers, fruit, yogurt and granola, and meat samosas, but it wasn't very accommodating for vegetarians or pescatarians despite my prior request. Kem was a fantastic guide, though I would have appreciated more information about the marine life we might encounter. Additionally, it was nice to receive a complimentary waterproof cell phone holder to keep.
We had an amazing experience! Our guide on Monday, 3/23, was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. It was definitely worth the cost; the water was stunningly beautiful, and there were plenty of fish to see. So much fun!
We arranged for the excursion with a pickup from the cruise terminal, which went smoothly. Cass drove us to the starting point, and it was just the two of us with our guide Cam. Although we might have been the least skilled kayakers, Cam was very kind and patient. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this trip.
We had an incredibly enjoyable time! My husband and I aren't particularly active, but after the initial adjustment to kayaking, it became a lot of fun. Cass and her team were wonderful, and we also hiked up to Fort Duvernette, which offered stunning views of the island and the Grenadines. While we didn't see many fish since we focused on balancing the kayak, the views above water were spectacular, making the experience worthwhile. We spent a delightful morning, and you can also swim off Fort Duvernette, so remember your snorkel gear. For those with limited mobility or very young children, keep in mind that this activity involves around 250 steep steps to the fort, but it’s optional, and Cass's team can tow your kayak if needed. Overall, it was a delightful morning of exploration and trying something new. Thank you, Cass and team.
This experience was incredible. Kem was warm, understanding, and flexible. It was enjoyable yet challenging and very educational. You should definitely try it when you’re in SVG.
Paddling to the island was a lot of fun, even though the wind made it a bit challenging. Fortunately, there was a dinghy available to assist with crossing the tougher areas.
