Reviews
The food was outstanding, with plenty of seating available, and the staff were both friendly and attentive. The musicians on board were impressive. However, the commentary over the speakers was dull, irrelevant, and tedious. The sound system was muffled and too loud in the dining area, leading us to tune out and not remember any of the information.
I booked a tour in early July and was quite disappointed. Although the ship has potential, it has not been well maintained. The carpets were dirty, and there were makeshift repairs, such as black duct tape holding up plastic wainscoting, with paint that was blistering and peeling. The bathroom was unclean, and there was water on the floor. I ordered French toast, but the sausages were undercooked, and the sweet potato home fries were hard and barely warm. The French toast itself tasted somewhat stale. No one on our deck seemed to enjoy the live entertainment, and when we checked other decks, the sentiment was the same. We were eager to return to land. Overall, it was definitely not worth the price. It’s a shame because with a bit more effort, it could have been a great tour. If you're looking to explore the Thousand Islands, I recommend opting for the basic tour without the meal.
The 1000 Island brunch cruise was an excellent way to begin our summer vacation. The food was deliciously prepared, and the service was top-notch. The cruise also offered stunning views of the river.
The cruise had a nice atmosphere and decent entertainment, but the food was very disappointing. It's best to eat beforehand and just get a drink to enjoy the reserved seating that comes with the meal cost.
The buffet on our three-hour cruise was excellent, featuring salads, chicken, and beef medallions, all topped off with tea or coffee and a lovely piece of lemon tart cake. I would suggest this to anyone looking to unwind and have a good time. The Gallo staff and live music were also fantastic.
The waterway offered stunning views for a peaceful meal. The food was enjoyable and the service was excellent. However, the boat could have been cleaner, as the carpets seemed dirty and there were spider webs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience.
While waiting in line to board, we were approached by an officer with three stripes, holding a Luger and sipping coffee from Tim Horton's, which felt unprofessional. Once on board, they squeezed six of us into a space meant for four, making it cramped and uncomfortable. Although the food was tasty and the cruise was enjoyable, the constant recorded commentary and onboard entertainment directly above our table made it overwhelming throughout the entire three hours.
It was a pleasant three-hour trip with close views of the islands. The scenery was captivating, and I had some wonderful moments. The seats were comfortable, food was served at the table, and there was a washroom available. Overall, it was a great experience.
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience. Our server was attentive and always ensuring our needs were met. Excellent service overall.
The boat ride was enjoyable, but the brunch was far from satisfactory. While advertised as a "brunch," we expected a buffet-style selection, but ended up with only three very small main dishes. We were quite disappointed.
