We booked a highlights air tour with Papillion, who provided a pickup from our hotel in Vegas and transported us to Boulder City airport. After a brief wait, our pilot arrived and she was fantastic. Seat assignments are based on weight, ensuring everyone has a window seat with no bad views. The flight was superb, offering stunning views of Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam before soaring over the Grand Canyon's west rim. The pilot took time to slow down over the Canyon, allowing us to soak in the beauty. It didn’t matter which side of the plane we were on, as we got to see the other side during our return. Papillion offers excellent customer service; their drivers arrived promptly and the staff were all friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend their tours.
Absolutely fantastic experience with the helicopter ride. The staff was friendly, and there were no delays, respecting our flight times. Souvenir photos were reasonably priced. Overall, it was a joyful time.
The air tour of the Grand Canyon offers stunning views and unforgettable experiences. This was our second time doing the tour, 15 years apart, and it remains magnificent. It's truly a must-experience activity.
Our group of four took a helicopter flight over Grand Canyon West, landing by the Colorado River for a brief trip and returning to the airport. It was a stunning way to take in the beauty of the Gorge and the river. The Papillon staff were very accommodating due to my leg handicap, landing the helicopter at a lower point to lessen the distance to walk. The river trip was unforgettable, featuring a friendly and knowledgeable guide who made it enjoyable. This was definitely one of my top experiences in that region, which I highly recommend.
Upon arrival, we learned that we were the only two for the fixed wing flight, which requires a minimum of six people. Disappointed, as the Grand Canyon is a dream destination for me and I may not get another chance. Then, unexpectedly, they upgraded us to a full canyon helicopter tour—rather than a short 30-minute option—on a competitor’s flight. They covered the considerable price difference. We were truly surprised and thrilled. The helicopter tour itself was breathtaking. We sincerely appreciate the kindness of GCScenic Airlines. Thank you!
My partner and I had an incredible scenic flight over the Grand Canyon. Afterward, we boarded a bus, and my partner accidentally left her phone on the seat. We quickly contacted the agency, and Sonny, the bus driver, acted promptly to retrieve the phone from a thief who attempted to steal it. Sonny truly saved our vacation and deserves our utmost gratitude. Thank you, Sonny!
Finding the location is a breeze; it takes around 20 minutes to drive from Grand Canyon Village and only 5 minutes from Tusayan, with plenty of parking available. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff are friendly, providing information on activities while you wait for your flight. The boarding procedure is well organized, with the ground crew guiding you to your assigned seat for weight distribution purposes. As for the flight, it’s worth every cent. The views are breathtaking, which is what you’re expecting. The pilot adds to the experience with a humorous personality, and there's music playing until we reach the canyon, followed by informative commentary once we’re flying over it.
What an amazing experience! My wife, our 14-month-old, and I enjoyed the 30-minute North Rim tour, which was worth every cent. Our little one loved it, and both my wife and I had a fantastic time as well. We shared the flight with another couple, and the views were simply stunning. The entire process—loading, unloading, and safety measures—was excellent. Thank you, Papillion!
Everything about this experience was handled professionally, from the registration site to phone confirmations, the security briefing, and the ground crew, including our calm and friendly pilot Jason. Despite my fear of heights and initial reservations, I felt completely at ease. This trip is highly recommendable. It was an incredible experience and a wonderful way to see the Grand Canyon for my first time. Thank you for the journey!
There's no need to argue about the grandeur of the Grand Canyon. However, I must caution you: visiting the glass platform feels very much like a tourist trap. As cameras and cell phones are prohibited, visitors must pay for on-site photographers, costing $50 for six photos. The quality is disappointing, capturing none of the beauty you expect, and the photographers seem to be in a poor mood. Knowing this ahead of time may help you enjoy the experience without feeling pressured.
