3Akagera National Park located in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It’s characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, rhinos, and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. 8Leave Kigali as early as 05h00 and drive for an estimated 3.5 hours to reach Akagera National Park by 08h30.
