Full-day speedboat tour — Phi Phi Don, Maya Bay, Khai Islands, snorkeling, and swimming with tropical fish.
This full-day island-hopping trip presents the opportunity to explore the beautiful Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Lay, and Khai Islands. Departing from Khao Lak on a modern speedboat, you’ll head to the famous Maya Bay, known from the film 'The Beach', where you can enjoy pristine beaches and azure waters. You will also visit the striking Viking Cave and the emerald lagoon at Pileh Bay, alongside the towering cliffs of Nui Bay.
The route includes time at Monkey Island, where playful monkeys roam. Each spot is surrounded by vibrant tropical reefs, perfect for snorkeling amidst diverse marine life. The entire tour is well-suited for families, ensuring a full day of relaxation and exploration. Remember to bring swimwear and sunscreen, as you’ll be spending plenty of time in the sun and water.

The tour is well structured for a large group. The guides were attentive and helpful throughout. However, the food offered is quite basic, and there is an additional fee to access the lagoon.
It was a fantastic day despite the heat, as we enjoyed cooling off at beautiful beaches. The buffet lunch was delightful. Our guide, Suzy, was both informative and amusing. We were continuously provided with cold water, cola, fruit, and sweet treats. Although we couldn't swim at Maya Bay, I completely understand the need to protect such a stunning location. I captured many photos of the gorgeous scenery. A big shoutout to the excellent captain, especially with so many boats around. I highly recommend this experience.
The tour was enjoyable and efficiently organized. We had a lovely lunch stop and saw stunning sights, perfect for taking great photos. The crew on the boat were excellent and enhanced the experience. The only downside was the lengthy 2 to 2.5-hour van ride each way, which wasn't clearly stated at the time of booking.
The day was satisfactory overall, but I felt the check-in process at the dock was somewhat disorganized and could benefit from being more orderly. The staff on the boat were excellent—very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The tour itself was enjoyable, although it does last a long time. The lunch stop had good, tasty food.
This tour wasn't suitable for me, but I wouldn't discourage others from trying it. I found it a bit chaotic and overwhelming, and as an introvert, I think I would prefer a private or smaller group experience. The staff was fantastic and very friendly, always making people laugh, so I can't fault them; it just wasn't to my liking.
We recently enjoyed a family day trip to Phi Phi Islands, and despite some rain in the afternoon, it was an incredible experience we wholeheartedly recommend. Choosing the catamaran over a speedboat was wise, as its stability made the one-hour journey pleasant, even with choppy seas—a significant advantage for those prone to seasickness. I recommend taking seasickness medication beforehand for peace of mind. For preparation, a waterproof bag for your belongings is essential since snorkeling means getting wet, even with the catamaran’s shelter. A waterproof phone case proved invaluable for capturing great underwater shots. The crew was exceptional and kept everything well-organized. While the terminal felt a bit chaotic initially, the staff provided clear instructions along with wristbands that helped keep everyone grouped and informed. Lunch was adequate, featuring a halal meal that pleased even our picky children aged 12 and 15. The availability of water and sodas throughout the day was a hit. We brought snacks but noticed food options at various stops (both cash and credit cards were accepted), and ATMs were available at the lunch stop if needed. One highlight was a quick photo stop at Monkey Beach due to the high tide, which was brief but memorable. We had pre-booked a small dragon boat for the lagoon, but it wasn’t needed with the high tide. However, if visiting during low tide, I advise booking the dragon boat at the terminal for a more rewarding lagoon experience. The only disappointment was missing Maya Bay, which is closed for environmental recovery each August and September. We had hoped to take photos at its entrance, but the poor weather thwarted that plan. This was unfortunate timing on our part and not a fault of the tour company. Overall, despite the rain and missing Maya Bay, our family had a great time. The comfort of the catamaran, the excellent crew, and the thoughtful organization contributed to a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this Phi Phi Island day trip to families or anyone seeking a fun, well-organized adventure. Just be sure to pack seasickness medication, waterproof gear, and manage your expectations regarding weather and closures.
Consistently, SEASTAR delivers an incredible experience. It’s perfect for families, and every staff member, from the taxi pickup to the return trip, is exceptional, ensuring a fun-filled day.
It was a fantastic day, incredibly well organized. Perfect for exploring beautiful islands, and the organizers executed everything flawlessly.
Exceptional experience with beautiful locations that truly take your breath away. Everything was efficiently managed without any issues. Bravo!
An excellent experience that was well-organized, featuring timely transfers from the hotel, stunning locations, and a delicious lunch on the beach. I highly recommend it.
