Khaolak Vista is highly dependable, and our guide Tony was exceptional; he made the excursion quite comfortable and provided us with a wealth of knowledge about Thailand and its local specialties.
I had a wonderful day exploring! We encountered a variety of animals such as monkeys, tarantulas, snakes, and huntsman spiders. Tang and our guide Bon were outstanding; they were incredibly helpful and shared valuable information, assisting us on the trails. The driver was also quite considerate. We enjoyed a delightful lunch, which was followed by river rafting and coffee making. This experience is truly one for the bucket list.
We were picked up by Nine and Tony at 7:30 am, and they made for excellent tour guides. The morning spent exploring the jungle was fantastic, with Nine expertly pointing out various wildlife. It is important to be reasonably fit, as the hike spans 7 km and involves quite a bit of elevation. However, a refreshing riverside dip was a welcome option. After that, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a very scenic restaurant. We then embarked on a bamboo raft journey that was peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable, topped off with coffee served in bamboo cups, which we could take home as souvenirs. Our day concluded with a visit to a monkey temple, providing both informative insights and stunning photo opportunities. By the end of the excursion, we were completely worn out but thrilled with our experience. Drinks and cool towels were offered throughout the day, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you for an amazing day out.
This was an incredible experience for me and my 9-year-old son. We hiked 6-7km into the jungle with our knowledgeable and skilled guide, Nine. Despite the heat and occasional challenges, we enjoyed every moment. We encountered monkeys, snakes, spiders, and lizards. I highly recommend this for older children who are comfortable with hiking.
We spent a fantastic day with Tony, who provided excellent organization and demonstrated great friendliness. His extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna was impressive. Additionally, he picked a lovely spot for lunch. We encountered numerous animals, including several families of monkeys, as well as spiders, birds, and lizards. The canoe ride was also a lot of fun. Thank you for such an enjoyable day. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
It was an excellent day filled with learning and exploration. Our guide and driver were both exceptional. We're grateful for the chance to have this experience.
We had an exceptional day, largely due to our guide Tony, who welcomed us into the jungle and showed us its amazing wildlife. Everything was just right. The van was clean and comfortable, Tony was incredibly kind with thoughtful gestures, and we enjoyed a delicious and plentiful meal in a lovely, clean setting. Highly recommended.
The excursion was flawless from beginning to end. Our guide, Tony, was exceptionally observant and attentive. The lunch provided was also very tasty.
We had an incredible day in Khao Sok National Park with Toni. Starting with a three-hour jungle trek, we encountered various lizards, tarantulas, scorpions, birds, funnel web spiders, and even a charming family of otters. Toni was exceptional at spotting wildlife that we would have missed on our own. He tailored the experience to keep our children, aged 9 and 11, engaged and thrilled, despite the heat of April. After an enjoyable lunch, we loved visiting the monkey temple, where Toni took us into a cave filled with roosting bats. Our day wrapped up with a rafting ride on the river, where we saw monkeys swimming, and we finished with a delicious coffee brewed in bamboo. This trip is perfect for families.
The guide was very kind and shared a lot about the area, providing insights into the rainforest's flora and fauna. However, this excursion is quite lengthy, involving a 5-mile trek over 4 hours in extreme heat (105 degrees with 95% humidity). The description doesn't clarify that the trail is moderately challenging, with many ups and downs and some steep inclines, which is strenuous in such conditions. This is not a relaxed, 2-hour stroll for animal spotting; it’s an extended hike that culminates at the hottest time of day, so a decent level of fitness is necessary. Additionally, we were disappointed not to swim at a waterfall due to low water levels, leaving us in swimsuits with no opportunity to cool off, which was uncomfortable. On the plus side, we did spot a lemur, some macaques, areas disturbed by elephants, plenty of lizards, snakes, and various insects, including scorpions and tarantulas. The scenery was stunning. Lunch was served in a lovely open-air setting and was delicious, featuring soup, two types of stir fry, fried chicken, rice, and watermelon, with some air conditioning on the way to help us recover from the hike. The bamboo rafting lasted an hour on a beautiful river, though we faced low water levels. The lack of shade made it hot, so a hat is essential. At the end of the trip, just before our return, we enjoyed tea and coffee brewed in bamboo cups that we could keep, which was a nice touch. On the way back, we visited a monkey temple filled with adorable macaques (a 10-minute stop that could have been longer) and a viewpoint for mountain valley photos. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience, though the trek was not adequately described in terms of difficulty. The physical exertion in the heat made the remainder of the day feel a bit challenging, and we certainly slept well afterward. Additionally, while the tour was advertised to start with pick-ups at 8 am, we were informed the day before that it would actually begin at 7 am. We returned to our hotel around 5:30, resulting in a total of 9.5 hours for the day.
