After thoroughly reviewing options for a visit to Khao Sok, we are delighted with our choice of tour operator. We were picked up from our hotel and collected our guide, Ron, en route to the National Park. Upon arrival, we ventured through the rainforest to a waterfall, where we encountered lizards, snakes, and spiders, as well as a few monkeys during a different return path. At the waterfall, we enjoyed a refreshing swim. Lunch was served at a local eatery, followed by bamboo rafting and coffee prepared in bamboo mugs at a nearby location. We also made a final stop at the Snoopy Dog viewpoint. Overall, this was a fantastic way to explore this protected area. Ron was exceptionally knowledgeable, helping us spot wildlife we might have missed. Throughout the day, he ensured we had water and snacks. It was a wonderful experience. As a tip, good footwear is crucial due to the uneven and slippery terrain at times, and insect repellent is highly recommended.

The itinerary allowed for some flexibility, which was great for our small, active group as we ventured off the beaten path. Lunch was abundant and delicious. We had a fantastic experience at Tamnang Waterfall and the Little Amazon, guided by GayDay, whose passion for her country and nature was evident. Arriving first at the stunning waterfall, we enjoyed a peaceful swim—truly a highlight. At the Little Amazon, young boatmasters pointed out fascinating details, and they were attentive to my fear of snakes, ensuring I felt secure. Gay and Boboo's care was heartfelt, and Gay shared captivating insights about Thai family life with our diverse group of eight. This was a genuinely successful, authentic tour that I highly recommend.

As an 18-year-old, I felt cared for and completely safe. The driver added to the fun with his jokes. The food was excellent, and I enjoyed seeing a variety of animal species. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and the bamboo rafting afterward. The day was filled with fun but at a relaxed pace, allowing us to soak it all in. We spotted a tarantula, cooled off in the jungle stream, and truly loved every moment!

The trek through Khao Sok National Park was excellent, offering plenty to see and experience. Our guide was informative and attentive, providing ample water during the hot, over 30°C weather. We appreciated the early start, which allowed us to enjoy the park before it got crowded. The bamboo rafting was a fantastic and relaxing experience, particularly as we listened to the wildlife and spotted a Water Monitor Dragon with our guide's help. Lunch was delicious with plenty available for seconds. Overall, it was a fulfilling half-day adventure. Remember to wear comfortable shoes, bring sliders or flip-flops for the rafting, and don’t forget the sunscreen, towel, and insect repellent.
I booked two tours with this provider and highly recommend them. The first was a jungle hike in Khao Sok National Park with our nice and quiet guide, Mong. He provided insights and pointed out animals we might have missed. The hike was enjoyable, though the heat made it somewhat challenging, and the small river was a refreshing stop. After lunch, we enjoyed a bamboo raft ride. With only three participants, the experience felt personal, and our needs were always met. The car was stocked with cool drinks and refreshing towels. The second tour also took us to Khao Sok National Park, visiting the Emerald Pool and Cheow Lan Lake, both stunning natural sites. We arrived early at the Emerald Pool, allowing us to enjoy it almost alone. There were just four of us on this tour too, creating a pleasant atmosphere. On the lake, we had our own longtail boat, and in the cave, it was just us with a flashlight to guide us through. Lunch on Frog Island offered beautiful views away from the crowds, giving us plenty of time to relax. Our guide, Gay, was warm and humorous, making the day extra special. She engaged genuinely with us and made sure we had a memorable experience. I would definitely book again with Khaolak Planner and appreciate the wonderful experiences they provided.
Experiencing Thailand through this trip was unique. Despite the challenging weather, it was entirely manageable, and I gained a lot of knowledge about the local plants and animals. I highly recommend it.
