Full-day tour — bamboo rafting through rainforest, visit a sea turtle conservation centre, and relax at Ton Pling Waterfall.
Start your day in Khao Lak with a hotel pickup between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM before heading to the river for bamboo rafting. A local boatman guides your raft as you float through the lush rainforest, providing a unique perspective of the area’s natural beauty.
After the rafting experience, visit a sea turtle conservation centre, where efforts are made to nurture baby turtles for 6 to 8 months before their release into the ocean. The Royal Thai Navy's involvement adds a layer of significance to this initiative.
The final stop is the popular Ton Pling Waterfall. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and take a refreshing swim in the small ponds amidst the stunning surroundings. Note that the program may change based on availability.

This was a wonderful experience, especially with teenagers. They even paused the raft to show us some animals, which was fantastic.
The trip went smoothly, starting with a timely hotel pickup and returning us back without any issues. Our guide had a great sense of humor and shared engaging stories, making for enjoyable experiences throughout.
We had a wonderful day from beginning to end. There were nine of us in the minibus, and it was a great group. The bamboo rafting was incredibly relaxing, and we particularly enjoyed seeing the turtles. Our guide was fantastic.
Make sure to apply plenty of mosquito repellent before heading out for the bamboo rafting. The experience was peaceful, and we spotted some beautiful birds along the way. The turtle conservation sanctuary was fascinating and included an affordable shop and café. Although the waterfall didn't have much water, it was still a pleasant brief visit on the return trip.
The water levels in both the river for the bamboo raft ride and the waterfall were quite low. While this is not the organizer's fault, it meant there was no waterfall to enjoy or swim in. However, seeing the turtles was still decent, though I wouldn't choose to do it again. The guides were very nice.
Our experience was wonderful. The bamboo rafting was both relaxing and picturesque, as we floated down the river amid beautiful jungle scenery. It wasn’t too adventurous, making it ideal for our young children. We even got to gently scoop up a baby turtle and spotted several snakes during the ride. The turtle conservatory was fantastic as well; my kids really enjoyed seeing all the baby turtles.
The rafting experience was great, but this activity is available for £14. The extra expense for visiting the sea turtle conservation center and a brief stop at a waterfall didn’t seem justified since there’s no entrance fee at the sea turtle naval base. Having rented a car, I would have preferred to do my own research and just pay for rafting while visiting the naval base and waterfall independently.
Well-organized trip with an informative and friendly guide, Marta. The water rafting was enjoyable and a memorable experience during our time in Thailand. Be sure to bring a towel and a change of clothes, as you will likely get wet. It was a pleasant half-day excursion that included a visit to the turtle sanctuary. Although the waterfall was dry due to the season, we appreciated the visit to a temple instead. We're glad we participated in this activity.
This experience did not meet my expectations. - Pickup was around 25 minutes late, which wasn't a huge issue since we weren't rushed. - Our guide, Thani, tried her best, but her English skills were limited. While I recognize that it may not be her first language, the tour promised an English-speaking guide, so I anticipated a better level of communication. She repeatedly mentioned that “Thai people don’t speak good English,” although I encountered many who did. She was reading from a script, but still… - After pickup, we learned that the waterfall stop had been swapped for a temple visit due to low water levels. While I understand the reason for the change, it should have been communicated beforehand, as I would have preferred to decide if I wanted to do the temple visit or make alternate plans. I also wasn't dressed appropriately for this substitute. The listing should clarify that a temple visit will replace the waterfall if water levels are low. Simple communication is needed. - The temple visit was disappointing, partly due to a lack of understanding of its significance (which ties back to the earlier language issue). Part of the stop involved walking to a seemingly random river where our guide offered fish food to the participants, which felt unnecessary and seemed more like a time filler. - The turtle conservation center was decent; we saw turtles at various ages, and any time spent with animals is a positive. - The bamboo rafting was definitely the day's highlight—this part was fun and worth doing. - The tour company did provide water twice and some fresh watermelon, which was a nice touch. In conclusion, I would recommend skipping this tour and just going for the bamboo rafting experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Every aspect was fantastic, including the tranquil Bamboo rafting, the Sea Turtles, and the refreshing waterfall where we swam. Our guide Charlie was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of energy. We really loved this adventure and highly recommend it.
