Eight hours, including lunch — visit James Bond Island, explore hidden lagoons by canoe, and discover the stilted village of Koh Payee.
This day-long tour whisks you from Khao Lak to the legendary James Bond Island, famously featured in 'The Man With The Golden Gun'. After a scenic journey to Phang Nga Bay National Park, you’ll walk the same paths as the film's star while capturing photos of the iconic backdrop.
The adventure continues with canoe exploration through hidden caves and lagoons, revealing landscapes formed over millennia. A visit to the stilted village of Koh Payee allows for cultural interaction, and a sumptuous Thai lunch is served during the tour. Additionally, you'll have the chance to spot wildlife and intriguing carvings at Wat Suwan Khuha, also known as Monkey Cave, before returning to Khao Lak.

I checked the reviews before booking and found them helpful, so I want to share my own experience. It was excellent in every way. We had an English-speaking guide who also provided French translations using his phone. He was polite and punctual, and we appreciated his smiling demeanor. The group was small, both on the coach and the boat. The guide also kindly offered to take photos. This experience is a must-do for everyone; the breathtaking scenery from beginning to end was unforgettable. Canoeing through the caves was incredible. Everything was perfect, so don’t hesitate to book! Thanks to the guide for this wonderful experience; my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We are already looking forward to our next adventure.
The day trip offered a diverse range of scenery. I really enjoyed the longboat ride, and the sea canoe experience was fantastic. I had to lie down to enter the caves, which added to the adventure. The views were breathtaking, and Marta, our guide, was excellent—very helpful and knowledgeable. Although the transfer took a while, we were aware of this before making our reservation.
The tour was fantastic. The island is quite lively, but the boat journey was breathtaking. We really enjoyed kayaking and it was wonderful to explore the mangrove forest.
We had a wonderful day out! Our guide, Charlie, was fantastic. The sea canoeing was especially enjoyable for everyone.
Our day with Marta, our guide, was truly delightful. After being picked up from our hotel in a small van with eight other travelers, we enjoyed breathtaking views during the boat ride to the sea canoes. The experience was fantastic, especially since our canoeists kept our family of three together, allowing us to take photos easily. Paddling through the mango forest and spotting monkeys was a highlight. We then visited James Bond Island, which, as mentioned, was quite crowded but stunningly beautiful. Lunch at the floating village was a tasty buffet that suited everyone's needs, followed by some free time to explore—just be mindful not to get lost! The boat ride back led us to the monkey temple, where I took towels to cover my shoulders and knees (a requirement for women). We refrained from feeding the monkeys, as advised, although many other tourists chose to do so. Overall, it was a full day and absolutely worth it. We had a fantastic time and felt well cared for throughout the trip.
This tour was fantastic and I highly recommend it. Make sure to bring some smaller bills for tipping the staff, as they work hard to make the experience memorable.
The tour package was fantastic and the day passed quickly. Boom, our guide, was exceptional; knowledgeable, polite, and very accommodating. The reason for the 4-star rating was the kayak staff, who put excessive pressure on us to tip, leading to discomfort and detracting from that experience. It would be better if the guides simply suggested that tips are appreciated if we enjoyed the kayak excursion, instead of the paddlers’ constant pressure. Otherwise, the rest of the tour was excellent—well-paced, informative, engaging, and fun.
The guide provided excellent care for her travelers and spoke good English. The itinerary was diverse, and the scenery was spectacular.
We had a wonderful day exploring Phang Nga National Park and James Bond Island. Our early pickup and small group of nine made for a pleasant experience. Despite covering a lot of ground, we had ample time at each location. Here's a quick rundown: we were picked up at 7:20, arrived at Phang Nga Pier by 9:30 to board our long boat, reached the canoeing spot at 10:00 for an outstanding 30-minute paddle, and arrived at James Bond Island at 11:25 to explore. Lunch at Koh Panyi (the floating village) was at noon, and we departed back to Phang Nga Pier at 1:35. We then visited Wat Suwan Khuha, a Buddhist Temple with monkeys, arriving at 2:25. We returned to our hotel by 4:30. Our guide was exceptional, providing support with photography and sharing local insights.
What a fantastic day! It was a great value, and the food exceeded my expectations. The guide was very knowledgeable, and the speedboat experience was incredible. All the islands we visited were stunning.
