• At 9am, meet your personal guide at your hotel in Khajuraho, then transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage site known as the "Western Group of Temples.” Your visit will begin with the Kandariya Mahadev temple, recognized as the most famous and stunning large structure, adorned with over 870 sculptures and carvings. Continue exploring other temples including the Chaunset Yogini, dedicated to Goddess Kali; Chitragupta or Bharatji, which features a beautiful depiction of the 11-headed Vishnu; as well as Vishwanath, Nandi, Lakshmana, and Visha, all devoted to Shiva and representing the largest and most representative temples in the region. • While the Khajuraho temples are often noted for their erotic imagery, these depictions are complemented by balanced themes. • Next, take time to explore the local handicrafts in the area. In this small town, tourism serves as the primary source of income for local residents, and you will observe that many households participate in various commercial activities, with homes functioning as budget hotels, shops, and restaurants. • To conclude your day, you can choose to attend an optional sound and light show (not included in the total cost) at the Western Group of Temples complex. This presentation offers a brief overview of the lives of the Chandela Kings and details the history of these unique temples from the 10th Century to today. The 50-minute show is available in both Hindi and English. • After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel, airport, or railway station in Khajuraho.
