It is said that Lord Shiva consumed poison during the churning of the ocean and came here to conquer the ‘God of Death - Kal’. He triumphed over death, making the site sacred for Hindus. The fort's construction during the Chandela Dynasty enhanced its historical importance, and it features distinct architectural designs. The location is also recognized as a great spot for meditation due to its tranquil environment. After exploring the fort, the return drive to Khajuraho will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel.
