Here, you will make a left turn to head north into Tavernier Creek. • While heading north into Tavernier Creek, you will pass beneath the Overseas Highway, continuing further into the creek. Stay alert, as you may begin to notice some of the diverse and abundant wildlife that thrives in the Florida Keys during your relaxed journey. • Soon, you will be paddling through Tavernier Creek. Your guide will take you to a small opening in the lush mangrove forests typical of the Florida Keys. These narrow waterways are often inaccessible to motorized boats, providing a serene experience as you approach vibrant birds and green iguanas. The highlight of your adventure will be reaching a beautiful saltwater lagoon encircled by mangrove trees. Here, you will have a few moments to appreciate the stunning views, and you might even see some manatees grazing. After visiting the lagoon, you will return for a leisurely paddle back to the marina where you began.
