I strongly suggest looking for a different vendor for jet ski adventures in Key Largo. We had booked a one-hour tour for my husband's and son's celebration, but the experience was quite disappointing from the beginning. When we arrived, we encountered Kevin, who was very unfriendly and had an unpleasant attitude about the boaters' license requirement. While we recognize the need for safety regulations, his approach was completely unnecessary, particularly for novices wanting to enjoy a family day out. We faced significant problems: • Our ride was cut short to just 30 minutes because of the time spent on the licensing process, which had not been communicated clearly beforehand. • Even though it was a tour, Kevin offered no guidance or sightseeing opportunities, simply instructing my husband on where not to go and demanding he return in 30 minutes. • The poor customer service from someone so rude and dismissive was a major letdown and affected the birthday celebration's atmosphere. The only positive was Gilbert's Resort, a lovely spot with excellent staff. However, I would recommend avoiding Sunshine Jet Ski as there are many other vendors nearby that truly appreciate their customers and deliver the service you're paying for.
We had a fantastic time riding the jetski together, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We're definitely looking forward to doing it again on our next visit to the Keys.
