We had a fantastic time at The Lumberjack Show. Joining the after-show Axe Throwing Competition was a highlight; it was really enjoyable. My husband took first place and won a Lumberjack Calendar as a prize.
This show is very family-friendly and kept everyone engaged. The lively competition has you cheering for one team while hoping the other loses. Seating is comfortable with good visibility, although the cold and a few poles may require some adjustments. Concessions offer a limited selection, and the gift shop has plenty of souvenirs to choose from. The staff is very friendly, and transportation is easily accessible.
The show was very entertaining, somewhat "corny," but definitely enjoyable to watch. If you've never used an axe, you'll be amazed at the speed with which these guys chop and saw through logs and stumps. It's quite a workout! Be sure to attend the axe-throwing lesson as well.

Audience participation is encouraged, and the lumberjacks are more than willing to take photos afterward. If you choose to try axe throwing, it's a lot of fun as well.

The show is absolutely fantastic! It's filled with high energy, great vibes, and is very entertaining. The lumberjacks demonstrate amazing skills, showcasing their speed and accuracy with axes and chainsaws, which is truly impressive. The female host does an excellent job explaining each skill and keeps the atmosphere lively with humor. The audience engagement through team support added to the experience. We also opted for axe throwing afterward, which was worth the extra cost. Harrison, our coach, was exceptional, providing clear instructions and being encouraging while ensuring everyone had plenty of practice before our group competition. It was a fun activity and a perfect way to conclude the event. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire show and our axe throwing experience. We would definitely do this again and highly recommend it. If you're in Ketchikan, this show is a must-see!

The gift shop is large, but the directions from the cruise ships could be clearer. I wouldn't recommend visiting in the rain. There is plenty of seating available and good safety information provided.
