This tour was fantastic. Ava shared a wealth of historical knowledge and incorporated her personal experiences to enhance the overall experience for us.
Ava, our guide, was fantastic. She demonstrated extensive knowledge and made sure to thoroughly address all of our questions.
Shane, our guide and driver, was friendly, knowledgeable, and laid-back, which made for a relaxed experience without any stressful deadlines. We had ample time to explore and even made an extra stop for a great photo of a bald eagle. I highly recommend this tour.
Shane, our tour guide, was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Since we visited early in the season, wildlife was scarce; however, he provided great insights into the environment and points of interest. Overall, it was an excellent tour, but I suggest joining later in the season for a better experience.
The two and a half hour drive was disappointing, with little to see. There was no salmon, just a small creek and an unimpressive cascade, no bears, no animals, a few totems, and mostly just driving. The guide mainly drove and offered little commentary or explanation.
The local guide was knowledgeable about the Ketchikan area, sharing additional insights, such as the location of an eagle's nest. It was a great way to learn more about the surroundings.
Wonderful people and rich history and culture. Just keep in mind that Ketchikan experiences a lot of rain, so be ready for that. Wildlife sighting will vary depending on the season.
This was an incredible excursion. I experienced so much of the island. Norman, our tour guide, was fantastic; he grew up in Ketchikan and had a wealth of knowledge about the area. I highly endorse this tour.
The tour featured many opportunities for picturesque photos and offered rich historical insights. We learned about interpreting totem poles and their importance in Ketchikan. My wife and three teenagers had a great time, capturing numerous photos and even spotting a black bear. It was definitely worth it.
Our group was small, just six of us, and we traveled in a van with Stormin’ Norm. He shared a tremendous amount of knowledge from his 80 years of life in Alaska.
