This tour is truly amazing, and we wholeheartedly endorse it. Our guide, a young indigenous woman, displayed immense knowledge and enthusiasm for her homeland. We enjoyed stunning views, impressive totem poles, and were fortunate enough to spot a whale, even late in the season.
The tour guide arrived an hour late. During the driving and walking portions, only three out of six in our group could hear him. His energy level was quite low. Overall, it was not a great tour.
The tour guide arrived an hour late, claiming that our reservations were not provided, which meant we were unable to explore the town. We received no refund or compensation from either the guide or the company. Overall, the customer service was lacking, and the tour involved a lot of driving.
The experience was fantastic. I found it fascinating and enjoyable to explore all areas of the city. The history of the totem poles was particularly impressive.
This trip is perfect for anyone seeking an authentic experience with local Indigenous people. The active clan members are incredibly knowledgeable and share rich historical insights.
This tour was led by a native family who provided a wealth of accurate information, making it an incredibly insightful experience.
This tour ranks among the most informative and unforgettable experiences my wife and I have had, and we've done many tours over the years. Dan, a longtime local who is married to an Indigenous Alaskan, shared a wealth of knowledge about totems, their meanings, native customs, plants, and what shapes Ketchikan today. I would give this a perfect score of 10 out of 10.
The morning tour with another couple in the van was quite impressive. Our native guide provided us with extensive knowledge about indigenous history, culture, and traditions. We explored multiple nature viewing locations and Todem Bight, where she shared traditional stories, history, and folklore related to Todem. It is certainly worth both the time and expense.
Having Echo Hawk as our guide made the experience exceptional. The intimate group size was also a pleasure. I strongly recommend this tour.
Our journey faced some initial hiccups, which unfortunately escalated into more significant transportation issues, forcing us to take a taxi back to the port. However, our guide Meita was exceptional, doing everything possible to keep things progressing. Even though it didn't turn out as planned this time, I would definitely consider booking again in the future to complete the experience in this area.
