What an incredible three hours that was. This marks our third visit to Ketchikan, and I've been eager to take this tour since my first trip. Finally got to experience it, and it was the highlight I anticipated the most. The tour exceeded all expectations. The crew were outstanding storytellers and were wonderfully accommodating to everyone on board. I can't emphasize enough how amazing this excursion was; it brought us many delightful surprises and was absolutely worth it. If I find myself back in Alaska, I would gladly join this tour again as it was fantastic. An 11 out of 10 experience. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Captain Dave, Big D, and my fellow Dodgers fan, Alaskan Dave. The hug alone made the trip worthwhile. This was truly one of the best days I've had.
The tour was expertly managed and organized. The modified boat provided excellent views for everyone. The stories shared were delightful, and the sight of bald eagles was simply breathtaking.
Although it's chilly, the experience is fantastic. If you're keen on spotting bald eagles, this is the ideal trip for you.

Booking this excursion through our cruise line was a fantastic decision. Captain Dave and his crew provided an incredible tour aboard the Aleutian Ballad, which was ideal for viewing exciting demonstrations, accessing a delicious crab galley, and enjoying clean, warm restrooms. The experience involved continuous opportunities to see and handle crab specimens, learn about trapping and fishing techniques, and photograph diving bald eagles, alongside hearing the inspiring stories of these courageous fishermen. This trip truly had everything and is worth every cent.
The team was fantastic, sharing their stories and their previous work. They demonstrated great experience and knowledge about the animals. The ship was well-maintained, including the bathroom. My highlight was the eagles catching fish; there were so many! This is definitely a must-do in Ketchikan, Alaska.
The crew was very friendly and engaging. I really enjoyed listening to their stories. We spotted numerous eagles and even saw a humpback whale, in addition to crabs.
This tour was fantastic. The Alaska King Crab served onboard was delicious, and I enjoyed interacting with various sea creatures, including a Pacific Octopus. An unexpected highlight was the American Eagles flying around the vessel, thanks to the permission to feed them from the Tribal community. Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting Captain Ron from The Deadliest Catch, and hearing the poignant stories of the Aleutian Ballad added depth to the experience.
