Our cruise ship arrived at Ward Cove, necessitating a 15-minute shuttle ride to town, followed by a short 10-minute walk to the visitor center where we met our guide, Lauren. Fortunately, we were the only ones on the tour at that time, making it a private experience. Lauren's deep knowledge of Ketchikan and her enthusiasm for showcasing the area were impressive. Although it was early in the season and wildlife activity was limited, we still spotted various animals, including a bear. To top it off, Lauren kindly dropped us off at the shuttle, saving us the extra 10-minute walk back. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting!
