This family-owned operation has extensive knowledge of marine and wildlife. We were fortunate to encounter many amazing sights during our trip, including an orca pod. I can't express enough how wonderful the entire experience was!
This experience is intimate with small group sizes, and the staff are both attentive and knowledgeable, encouraging questions and providing clear answers. Despite the cold and rain, it was a fantastic experience that was absolutely worth it. They supplied all the necessary rain gear, so we stayed dry.
In late August 2025, Delaney and Eric took us on a Zodiac tour despite our group being reduced to just two when the other party canceled. Unlike other companies that often cancel tours unless a minimum of four is met, their willingness to proceed impressed us from the beginning. Eric was a careful captain, managing the boat speed to minimize spray, while both ensured we were dressed appropriately to protect our clothing from saltwater. Their attention to detail greatly enhanced our experience. Delaney, with her keen interest in nature, provided easily understandable explanations about the environment and wildlife. Their expertise on local sea-life significantly contributed to an unforgettable adventure. We spotted harbor seals, bald eagles, marbled murrelets, and even a male humpback whale named Phoenix, who spectacularly bubble net fed. The bubbles made spotting him considerably easier, and their understanding of his behavior allowed us to enjoy the best views without stressing him or the other wildlife. They were genuinely friendly and made the experience enjoyable. We will certainly book this trip again on our next visit to Ketchikan.
What an amazing experience! Our guides, Jenny and Eric, were outstanding—both very knowledgeable and friendly. Jenny provided snacks and hot drinks on the boat, which was a nice touch! They allowed us extra time because there was so much whale activity. We also spotted seals, bald eagles, and various sea life on the reef. This was my favorite excursion in Alaska! Unlike larger tour boats, we weren't cramped at all; it was just my group of four along with the two guides. I can't recommend them highly enough for your next visit to Ketchikan!
This was truly the best experience I've ever had. Jenny and Eric were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They equipped us with everything needed to stay warm, dry, and safe, even providing snacks and hot drinks on the boat. We witnessed remarkable whale activity, along with seals, bald eagles, and diverse marine life on the reef. We were allowed to extend our time on the water since the whale activity was so abundant. With just my group of four and the two guides, this experience far surpassed the large tour boats packed with hundreds of people. I highly recommend booking with them.

Delaney, Kevin, and our nature guide (whose name I can't recall) provided an outstanding experience. They welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived, ensuring our group of six had a fantastic time. We were able to document numerous birds, including several Bald Eagles and their nests, as well as harbor seals, and we were fortunate enough to witness a whale encounter for an extended period. The hot coffee and cocoa were perfect for keeping us warm. I highly recommend this team.
Our adventure with Eric, Jenny, and Delaney was exceptional and distinctly elevated compared to the typical zodiac tour. From the preparatory steps at the shop to the unique transfer to our next activity, their extensive local knowledge and genuine enthusiasm were evident in every encounter. They adeptly catered to our varied group's needs in a relaxed manner while ensuring a very safe setting, particularly when we paused to closely observe an orca pod. Their engagement was outstanding, providing detailed answers to all our questions about the local wildlife and plants. Even after the tour ended, they went above and beyond by reaching out to other boats and experts to find images of our boat with the whales and sharing the specific lineage of the orca pod we encountered. Jenny also gave our daughters adorable science stickers, which they treasured from their time on the water. The quality of this tour and service is worth at least twice the price, and we wholeheartedly recommend this team.
Eric and Jenny were outstanding guides, sharing an impressive wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and the region. The highlight was definitely spotting four humpback whales in their natural habitat. This truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend this excursion and thank you for ending our Alaskan vacation on a perfect note.

For nature enthusiasts, this tour is perfect, featuring intimate seating on a stunning Zodiak that navigates the waterways around Ketchikan. Bald eagles were abundant, and we saw sea stars and urchins. The sight of harbor porpoises and humpback whales added to the enjoyment. I highly recommend it.
