Mike, also known as Quick, was our guide and we truly had an outstanding experience. Our group of 14, including 5 kids, enjoyed every moment. We're still discussing all the activities and sights. Thank you for everything! I highly recommend this tour.
The tour covers many of Ketchikan's highlights. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable.
Mike was an excellent guide who introduced us to hidden gems while sharing fascinating stories and insights about the land and its culture. He was professional, humorous, and friendly, ensuring we had a wonderful experience. Our group included five kids, and they were thoroughly entertained throughout the tour.
Daniel, our guide, was fantastic. Although we visited in October when animal activity was lower, he kept the experience lively and enjoyable. He took us to the beach, where our kids explored fascinating sea life in the tide pools. We also visited the salmon ladder and some hidden waterfalls, and while we attempted to spot bears, they were absent, which was fine. He was an entertaining guide, and we gained valuable insights into life in Alaska. I highly recommend this experience.
This was an outstanding experience that we would certainly repeat. The guide was excellent and very accommodating. I highly recommend this activity.
We had an excellent afternoon with Shad as our guide. Although the salmon weren't swimming upstream yet and the berries were not ripe, Shad provided an insightful overview of the salmon lifecycle and showed us likely spots for them in the coming weeks. The island's natural beauty was stunning, and we appreciated the chance to leave the van to see a breathtaking waterfall, explore the rainforest, and look for bears. While we didn't spot a bear, we did observe several large juvenile bald eagles fishing and seals in Ketchikan Creek by historic Creek Street. Shad shared his extensive knowledge about the local environment, introduced us to various berry plants, and let us taste fresh spruce tips. We learned about the Tlingit totem pole traditions and had the opportunity to view them closely, alongside some enjoyable shopping time on Creek Street. Shad highlighted local shops for us to visit after the tour. The van was very comfortable, and Shad was an attentive and safe driver. We appreciated hearing about his experiences growing up in the area. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon, Shad.
Matthew, the owner, initiated our tour with his extensive knowledge and kindness. Although we had an unexpected flat tire, it didn't hinder our experience. While waiting for help at the first stop, he kept us entertained. The remainder of the tour was with Shad and Hannah, who were equally fantastic. They were very personable, attentive, and well-informed, ensuring we didn't feel rushed at all. We encountered numerous bald eagles, a deer, plenty of mussels, and crabs, and explored the bear feeding grounds—though we couldn't spot any bears during our visit. We learned about local natural remedies and sampled some plants. The highlight was definitely a breathtaking waterfall. There was so much to see and do that I found myself wishing for even more time with this group. I would rate this tour a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it—no matter which guide you get, you're in excellent hands.
Shad, our tour guide, was full of knowledge and made our trip enjoyable and immersed in nature. We spotted numerous eagles, and he suggested excellent restaurants and souvenir shops. We highly recommend this tour.
This was an exceptional tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made a significant effort to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our guide was outstanding, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about and exploring Ketchikan.
