The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center is an interpretive facility that showcases the cultural and natural history of the region. Opened in the late 1990s, the centre features exhibits on local ecosystems, indigenous cultures, and the area's rich maritime heritage. Visitors will find detailed displays on wildlife from the Tongass National Forest, as well as a replica of a traditional cedar canoe.
