The destination itself is amazing and definitely worth visiting. However, the journey to get there was a different experience. We found the itinerary hard to follow, especially since we booked a sunset tour. Initially, we were picked up from our hotel earlier than expected, then spent time traveling to about six other hotels to collect more guests, some of whom didn't seem considerate of others on the bus. We expected to depart from Antalya port, but instead faced a three-hour bus ride to a different port before boarding the boat. Dinner was simple but acceptable, and the views were beautiful throughout the trip. Be prepared for a lengthy 10-12 hour sunset tour; we didn't return to our hotel until midnight.
We traveled in late April, initially concerned about the cold, but the weather was pleasantly warm in the sun. The islands were stunning and the water was beautifully clear. Since we visited before peak season, only one other boat was with us at both islands, though the first island felt somewhat crowded despite that. Lunch was simple yet tasty. A major drawback: make sure to bring earplugs or high-quality noise-cancelling headphones. The music was blaring from the start of the trip at 7 AM until the end, which was extremely frustrating. If you seek a relaxing experience to enjoy the scenery, this trip may not be for you, unless you have significant hearing loss, which I sometimes wished for during the journey.
The boat tour to Suluada from Antalya, known as the “Turkish Maldives,” was a truly enjoyable experience overall. The water is remarkably clear and turquoise, and the scenery exceeds expectations. The timing for swimming breaks was well-planned, and Suluada itself is stunning, particularly the unique white sandy areas found in Turkey. Having hotel pickup and drop-off was very convenient, and the staff on the boat were friendly and well-organized. Lunch was included, which was a nice addition, although it was fairly simple—nothing too remarkable, but adequate for a day trip. The downside was the crowding, especially in peak season, which diminishes the “hidden paradise” feel. Additionally, the time spent at each stop felt a bit hurried. In summary, it was a fantastic day with breathtaking views, although complete seclusion may not be on offer.
An incredible experience overall. The service was fantastic, with hotel pick-up and drop-off. There was ample time for swimming, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this tour; you would be missing out if you skip it. The music on the boat was a bit loud, which slightly impacted the experience, but it was still a lot of fun.
This was an excellent experience that offered great value. The lunch and tea provided were nice touches. The only downside was locating the correct boat in the morning, but the staff were very friendly.
Suluada is truly one of the most stunning spots along the Turkish Mediterranean, earning its title as the "Turkish Maldives." Its clear turquoise waters, white pebble beaches, and pristine beauty provide a serene escape from urban life. The only access is by boat from Adrasan, making the trip itself an exciting experience with beautiful coastal scenery and calming sea breezes. Be sure to bring soft drinks, as purchasing them during the tour can be more expensive.
Be prepared for some discomfort from the small pebbles; they can be quite painful if you're not accustomed to them, and slippers don't provide much relief. Wet socks would have been a better choice. Getting on and off the boat requires some balance as the platform moves in sync with the boat, which takes a bit of patience. Aside from that, it truly feels like a taste of Maldives in Turkey at a reasonable price. The driver was excellent, offering stunning views during the 1.5-hour journey from the hotel. The crew on the boat was entertaining and attentive, helping people with seasickness and creating a fun atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I'll return to Turkey later this year and definitely look for this activity again, but with wet socks ready for next time.
We experienced the Suloada boat trip today and had a wonderful time overall. The views were stunning, and the destinations were gorgeous. The included meal was quite nice, with a choice of fish or chicken, accompanied by pasta, bread, fresh salad, and fruit. One thing to keep in mind is that the drinks on board are rather pricey, so I would suggest bringing your own if you can. My only complaint was that I wished we had more time at each stop to really enjoy the sites. Nonetheless, it was an excellent outing, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this trip to anyone in the area.
The organization of the tour was acceptable, but the beaches were extremely overcrowded, with boats packed closely together, leaving little room to swim. There were people everywhere, and having gone in May, I can't imagine how it must be during peak season. Suluada Island was covered in plastic waste both on the beach and in the water, which made us reluctant to go in. This experience illustrated the consequences of irresponsible tourism.
I had an amazing experience. The sea was stunning and incredibly clear. The staff were friendly and supportive, and the communications were available in several languages. The music was enjoyable as well.
