On July 8, 2025, we went on this pirate ship excursion with our 4-year-old, and it turned out to be a major disappointment. The shuttle bus ride was uncomfortable, with broken seats, no child safety belts, and poor ventilation. Once we arrived, there was hardly any seating available on the ship. We expected an engaging experience for our son, but it was misrepresented. The crew just strolled around with a parrot, pushing overpriced photos, with no real entertainment. The only announcements were for swimming stops. The foam party was so loud that my son couldn't enjoy it at all. As for dinner, it included salad, bulgur rice, spaghetti, fish, and a poorly breaded item. While there was a variety, the quality was terrible. The fish was greasy, the salad was mediocre, and the spaghetti lacked flavor, with the bulgur rice being barely edible. The only thing we found acceptable was the corn sold at nearly 3 euros. The only positive aspects were the friendly waiters and the nice view from the deck. I would not recommend this for families.
We arranged our all-day boat trip through Kemer Travel, which was quite affordable. Although we were initially supposed to be on the Red Dragon boat, our tour was combined with another, and we ended up on the Medusa boat. It was slightly disappointing that the deck had no sunbeds, just seating, but this seemed common among local boats. The atmosphere was enjoyable with a DJ, a foam party, and a disco for those interested. The food was decent, but drinks cost extra and were rather pricey, so be prepared for that expense—water is allowed onboard but not other beverages. We had ample time at each of the three swim stops, making for a pleasant experience overall. I would suggest confirming your preferred boat with the booking agent.
