I went with my 13-year-old brother, my sister, and four others, accompanied by three guides. One girl was experienced, which reassured the rest of us. I thought it would be a short ride with all the horses connected, but instead, we each got our own horse. Although nervous initially, the guides confirmed our horses were calm and positioned themselves to support us throughout the ride. They taught us a few basics before we set off—how to stop, turn, and encourage the horse to keep going. When my horse began to wander off, I panicked, but a guide calmly instructed me to pull the reins gently to the right, which boosted my confidence and helped me feel more in control. My younger brother also gained confidence and started riding independently, with guides nearby to ensure his safety. My sister, who was most excited about this experience, found it memorable and fulfilling, especially since it was an activity she had wanted to try for years. Overall, the experience felt safe and enjoyable. While some horses were a bit rowdy initially, the guides were very helpful, guiding us to understand the horses better. They worked hard to make us comfortable and patiently eased our nerves. They were especially accommodating to my brother and me, leading the horses at first before letting us take control, which helped us build confidence. They also took wonderful photos of us by the water, allowing us to cherish these memories. This activity is highly recommended for anyone considering horseback riding.

However, as a beginner, I was uncomfortable crossing busy roads at night on horseback. While instructors tried to stop traffic, I was surprised none wore high visibility clothing. My horse acted up on a busy road, raising my anxiety. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
