The tour showcases a blend of historic estates and boutique wineries against the backdrop of rolling hills and Okanagan Lake. Amadeus was an insightful guide throughout our West Kelowna wine tour. We visited five wineries, each offering a diverse selection of wines. Every stop was punctual, and the scenery was stunning. The van was comfortable, and I made several new friends by the end. I highly recommend this experience!
Our group of eight took a full day tour with Sip Happens on June 7th, 2025. We had booked in advance and requested specific wineries, which were confirmed as feasible. Unfortunately, we started by backtracking to pick up late passengers, causing a delay of about 40 minutes, which contradicted what was stated in our booking. The tour guide, who acted more like a driver, pressured the tasting room staff to hasten our first tasting because of supposed traffic delays, which wasn’t accurate. We felt rushed through the tasting at a charming winery, missing the enjoyment of the experience. There was also a mistake where the driver almost left behind a box of wine that some guests had purchased. The overall vibe was off, and the driver seemed disinterested. After two more wineries before lunch, we faced issues with the wine boxes for our purchases and some guests decided to leave due to feeling rushed. The company changed one winery in our planned itinerary without informing us, which was disappointing as we had booked over a month in advance. The driver lacked attention and enthusiasm, especially compared to a previous tour with a different driver who had created an enjoyable atmosphere. This particular tour was not one of our best experiences with the company.
This was our fourth year on a tour with Sip, and they keep exceeding our expectations. We explored new wineries, which allowed us to savor a variety of Okanagan wines. Our driver and guide, Lofty, was very friendly and had extensive knowledge about the area, the wineries, and the stories of the places we visited. We're looking forward to another great experience with him next year for tour number five. Thank you, Sip!
