Five days of challenging paddling and remote camping in Tobeatic Wilderness, designed for experienced adventurers seeking a rugged experience.
A 5-day canoe expedition through the Tobeatic Wilderness offers a rigorous challenge for experienced paddlers. Ideal for those ready for strenuous labor, the trip involves long days of paddling and portages, taking you deep into the remote areas of the park. Expect hard work but also significant rewards as you navigate through difficult wilderness and discover breathtaking landscapes.
This journey goes beyond the boundaries of Kejimkujik National Park, immersing participants in the raw beauty of the Tobeatic region. Be prepared for truly remote camp sites away from the usual paths. Bring adequate gear and supplies as amenities are limited in this wild environment.
Reviews
This trip was incredible. It required considerable effort, but the Tobeatic is undoubtedly worthwhile. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend time with. The food provided during the trip surpassed what most of us typically eat daily—definitely not your standard “bush food.”
This was a fantastic experience, and our guide Carlene had extensive knowledge about the region. The entire operation is extremely well organized.
This was an incredible experience with my three sons and our guide, Carlene. Cody provided invaluable assistance in planning our trip. Paddling Keji was fantastic, but venturing into the Tobeatic Wilderness Area and navigating its river system was truly unforgettable. The expertise of the Whynot Adventure team made a significant difference, offering local knowledge, all the necessary gear, delicious meals, and great stories. I highly recommend this journey for anyone seeking an extraordinary experience. It's demanding but rewarding for those who want something truly special. We covered 69 kilometers in 4 days, totaling 29 hours. Just go for it!
This experience was incredible. The "Big Easy" portage is challenging, but once you venture into the Tobeatic, the trails vanish and you find yourself in genuine wilderness, which makes it all worthwhile. It surpasses any trip I've taken before. Wildlife was abundant, and the river and lakes were breathtaking. In the Tobeatic, there's no trace of people or civilization—just nature at its finest. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was outstanding; you won't encounter dehydrated meals on this journey! I would absolutely do this again.
This experience was incredible. Keep in mind it's a portage and can be challenging at times, yet it's very rewarding. There truly is nothing else comparable to it.
