Reviews
Cody and Karlene were wonderful in accommodating our last-minute changes and requests, providing valuable advice about campsites and things to watch for. The canoes were clean, sturdy, and lightweight, which was perfect for us. Their shop is fantastic, stocked with everything needed, all served with a smile. I plan to return until I eventually decide to invest in my own canoe.
This trip was incredible. Our two young children loved learning how to canoe and gained valuable skills from our outstanding guide, Carlene. We encountered plenty of wildlife, savored delicious food, and fell asleep to the sounds of nature at night, making it a truly special experience. Overall, this trip was fantastic, and I highly recommend it as a "Must do" for anyone visiting Nova Scotia.
I have had an excellent rental experience for four consecutive years, thanks to the friendly, helpful, and well-trained staff. The rental products are top-notch, and everything is always prepared by the time we arrive.
I had an incredible weekend at Kejimkujik, my favorite spot in Nova Scotia. It was my first experience in the backcountry and it exceeded my expectations. We rented a canoe from Whynots, where the staff were very knowledgeable and assisted us in making this trip a reality. We're already eager to plan another adventure for next year.
We had a fantastic time on the canoe trip with family and friends. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Thank you for providing us with such a memorable experience.
The service from Whynot was excellent, and the canoe was in good condition. The friendly staff made everything easy. Keji is fantastic, and camping there is a must for everyone.
Whynot Adventure offers a fantastic setup for a backcountry adventure at Keji. Communication was seamless, and everything was prepared for our departure from the dock when we arrived. Their site within the park is excellent. I would suggest they consider adding ultra-light canoes, as I would gladly pay more for that option for backcountry trips. Nonetheless, the canoe we rented was sturdy, reliable, and sufficient for portaging. We will certainly rent from Whynot again.
Dealing with Whynot Adventures is always a great experience. They are well-organized, communicate effectively, and provide quality equipment. Additionally, they show flexibility when needed. Overall, they are an exceptionally well-run choice for your Kejimkujik adventures.
This trip was both challenging and fantastic. The canoe was quite stable, which helped us manage the high winds and waves without capsizing. The campsites felt very secluded, and apart from occasional encounters with others on the lake or at the portages, it was just my party. We did misplace one of the shuttle blocks (still unclear how that occurred), but they promptly provided us with the replacement cost.
The service was excellent, with friendly and accommodating staff. The canoes performed well and were perfect for the journey. I highly recommend this experience.
