Two-day guided canoe trip with minimal portaging, ideal for families with young children, includes meals and accommodations at the camp.
This fully guided two-day backcountry canoe adventure is designed for families, especially those with children under 10, or anyone seeking relaxation without intensive physical demands. Meet at Jake's Landing, where your gear will be repacked into waterproof containers, followed by a provided lunch before heading into the wilderness.
The trip emphasizes time spent at camp rather than extensive canoeing, allowing for leisure activities such as swimming off a canoe flotilla or enjoying snacks under the shade of ancient hemlock trees. With minimal portaging, this journey blends comfort and the natural beauty of Nova Scotia, providing a memorable adventure for everyone involved.
Reviews
The staff here is amazing and the service is excellent. They were very supportive, guiding me through every step of loading the canoe onto my car and advising on the best routes to take on the lake. Highly recommend this place!
Camping at Keji was an incredible experience. We enjoyed kayaking, hiking through the woods, and relaxing on the beautiful lake beach. It was a delightful trip overall. Thank you.
The highlight for me was that the whynot adventure team provided an additional 2 hours on our canoe trip, allowing us to spend more time enjoying the water.
I just returned from a fantastic canoe trip at Kejimkujik National Park. We ventured out to Island Site #14, where we spent the night. Although we faced some wind and light rain, the adventure was truly rewarding. The weather enhanced our experience without diminishing the park's beauty. The campsite was tidy, tranquil, and ideally situated for a restful night immersed in nature. I was pleasantly surprised by the great upkeep of the area, especially for this early in the season. In summary, it was a refreshing and unforgettable experience, and I look forward to returning.
This was one of the most enjoyable trips I've taken, thanks to the stunning scenery and attentive guiding. Carlene and Dylan were fantastic companions, sharing plenty of knowledge and fun, while the route and campsites gave us a sense of having Nova Scotia all to ourselves.
Working with Whynot Adventures is consistently straightforward. Our canoe was ready upon arrival, complete with paddles and an emergency kit. The canoe was also in excellent condition.
The overnight paddling trip was fantastic. We enjoyed the beautiful lakes and had wonderful camaraderie with our friendly guide, who prepared delicious breakfasts, dinners, and packed lunches. Each day involved approximately 3-4 hours of paddling.
The lake was rugged, tranquil, and secluded. With just the three of us and our fantastic guide, we canoed the whole lake. It was a delightful experience that we thoroughly enjoyed, including the nature-inspired 'facilities.'
Renting from this company was a breeze. The staff were incredibly helpful, and I even learned a new method for transporting the canoe using foam bumper blocks.
We had an incredible tour led by Dylan, a friendly and knowledgeable guide who was also an excellent cook. The stunning landscapes made for a great experience, and the camping spot was perfect, with abundant swimming in the lake. My wife, our adult daughters, and I had an amazing time.
