Charming county town with plenty to explore. There’s lots of parking available, along with diverse shops, welcoming hospitality, and lovely parks for leisurely strolls.
On September 12, I had a fall near the underground garage of the congress house while heading to the toilet. Fortunately, a kind couple of doctors came to my aid, with the lady placing a band-aid above my bleeding eye. I managed to get to the restroom, where I was provided with paper towels for the bleeding. I regret not expressing my gratitude at the moment, as I was worried about missing my bus. The guide from Baden-Baden, whose name I do not know, and the bus driver, Michel, took excellent care of me. The guide's husband is a surgeon, and she even sent him a photo of my injury. Although I should have gone to the hospital, I opted not to. Later, we visited Neuweier Castle for a wine tasting, and the wonderful lady there even drove me to a doctor. I would love to have him as my family doctor. I'm feeling much better now, with just a small scar remaining. I'm writing this because I wanted to sincerely thank everyone who helped me. I will always remember their kindness and hold them close to my heart. Thank you all very much.
Our guide for the tour was Cezar Sanduleac. Unfortunately, he was not very informative and appeared frustrated with us for having visited some of the sites in Baden-Baden before the tour. Additionally, he seemed uncomfortable with us being an older couple (76 and 81), particularly since I was recovering from pneumonia and had difficulty climbing hills quickly due to shortness of breath. As a result, he skipped several activities or just drove by them without stopping for us to explore. This experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the tour's high cost and duration. Cezar also cut over an hour from the tour, and when I asked to stop at a store to grab something to eat the next morning, he took a long route that went out of the way instead of finding a place near our hotel.
The guide was outstanding—very knowledgeable and professional. The choice of restaurant was great, and the experience was completely flexible.
My family and I had an excellent day exploring Baden-Baden and the Black Forest with Cesar. He provided a wonderful overview of Baden-Baden and was both knowledgeable and engaging. In the afternoon, we ventured into the Black Forest, enjoying wineries, charming towns, waterfalls, and stunning scenery. Cesar ensured that the tour was lively and enjoyable.
The service was exceptionally friendly and courteous. With a four-star atmosphere and the finest ice cream within a 10 km radius, it's no exaggeration to call it the best restaurant in the region. We would definitely love to return.
The guide was friendly but lacked any in-depth or distinctive knowledge about the city and its surroundings, making it feel like a generic tour. The organization wasn't great, and at one point, we finished our independent time at Mummelsee, only to find him sleeping in the car. He seemed to be guiding more as a stepping stone to something else rather than out of genuine interest, and given the cost, it was disappointing.
I arranged the trip for my family from Brazil and couldn't be happier with the experience. The organization was simple, the staff were welcoming, and everything went off without a hitch. Thank you for the outstanding assistance.
We traveled for an emergency medical issue, as my mother-in-law fell ill, but the trip turned out to be worthwhile thanks to the wonderful team. The drivers and guides were exceptional, the vehicles were comfortable, and the communication was effortless. They even made sure to send a vehicle that was easy for my mother-in-law to enter and exit. Truly amazing people.
This tour of the region was truly exceptional. Even though it was off season, that didn’t detract from the experience. The Black Forest reveals delightful surprises at every turn. The charm of Belle Epoque Baden Baden stands in striking contrast to the enigmatic beauty of the dark forest. Our guide, Philipp, provided an invaluable local insight throughout the journey.
