I would rate this experience a 4.5 if possible. We took a taxi from the train station, which turned out to be farther from our hotel in the old town than we anticipated and was quite pricey. We didn’t realize that the historical area was just a small part of the city, so during our two-day stay, we didn’t explore other areas. The Hotel Beek was wonderful—characterful, clean, with a great breakfast and excellent location. We enjoyed wandering the charming streets and dining at various fine restaurants. The casino tour, gardens, and spa were also enjoyable. I highly recommend this town for a short but captivating visit.
