• You will be collected from your hotel in Kannur and transported to a village temple or a Hindu residence where Theyyam takes place. The schedule of the ritual varies according to the lunar Hindu calendar and changes each month. Upon arriving at the ritual site, you may photograph the performer along with their intricate costume. If fortunate, you might witness a fire Theyyam, which occurs occasionally and is also determined by the lunar calendar. The complete ritual can extend for several hours. The detailed costumes and extensive makeup of the performers contribute to the enchanting atmosphere of the event. After the performance concludes, transportation will be provided back to Kannur, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
