A pleasant park to explore, not overly busy. It stands out as one of the limited attractions in Kamloops. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.
I had an excellent experience. I appreciate all the staff working to protect these orphaned and injured animals. I gained a lot of knowledge about the local wildlife. It was reasonably priced, and the staff were incredibly helpful.
I had a wonderful time, particularly because I got to use a motorized vehicle. I spotted a white bear, two grizzlies, and even caught a glimpse of a black bear.
We got there right at opening. While some animals were still in their enclosures initially, they soon came out and put on a fantastic display. The bird of prey section was a highlight, and watching Clover was truly enjoyable. Great job on saving Robert.
Before heading back to Victoria, we decided to visit and see the animals in Kamloops. We managed to spot all of them, although the Spirit Bear took a bit of time to appear. Finally, someone pointed it out, and we were thrilled to see it. We encountered all the wildlife we had hoped to on our journey from Victoria to Edmonton, Drumheller, and Kamloops, enjoying their natural habitats. Our kids appreciated the experience as well. Despite the extreme heat, the misting area was a welcome relief. The gift shop offered reasonably priced items, with t-shirts at $19, much better than some other places charging close to $40. Overall, it was worth the trip, just remember to wear a hat for sun protection.
We enjoyed it overall! There were a few aspects that could use improvement, but it was a good experience. The pummel train was especially charming.
It feels more like a small zoo and is quite average overall. Nothing exceptional stands out. The ticket price is relatively low, which is a positive aspect. If you find yourself with free time, it’s worth checking out.
It was challenging to view many of the animals, though the grizzlies were impressive and watching them in the water was enjoyable. Several enclosures were overgrown, making it hard to see the animals, with at least eight enclosures completely obscured. We had skip-the-line tickets, but they weren't necessary as the place was quite empty. The staff were friendly, and the little train ride was charming. However, the bird of prey show is not available after summer. The restaurant offered a limited menu, but the food was acceptable. I think the facility could really benefit from some Canadian investors to improve the maintenance, as it appears quite tired and neglected.
The visit lasted around 2.5 hours, allowing for the observation of various habitats and their animals. I particularly enjoyed seeing the grizzly bear and cougar, which were my favorites.
This restaurant offers a fantastic Canadiana experience, featuring themed menu items, decor, and music. The service was outstanding; we enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner the following night. Matt and Mya provided excellent service. The food is high quality and reasonably priced. We highly recommend checking out this newly renovated place.
