We participated in the Whales & Mendenhall Glacier tour in Juneau at the end of August, and while the tour itself was wonderful with whales as a standout feature, the experience turned stressful when our bus departed the glacier 8 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. We saw the bus leave while we were still walking from the far end of the loop. After incurring unexpected roaming charges, trekking to the park entrance, and taking a cab, we barely made it back to our ship with just 10 minutes to go. This whole ordeal was incredibly anxiety-inducing. We reached out to the tour operator, who promised to investigate but we haven't heard back after multiple follow-up emails over the past three weeks. It’s disappointing that they haven’t addressed this issue.
One of the best moments of our Alaskan trip was this whale watching tour. Nia provided great information and entertainment as we spotted whales. Jay skillfully maneuvered the boat and ensured our safety. Even though the ocean was choppy, the experience flew by as we encountered several whales.

The boat was a great size, accommodating around 20-30 people, and the enclosed area was quite comfortable. Both the naturalist and the captain were fantastic, providing information and entertainment throughout the journey. The bus driver to the glacier was enjoyable, making the trip feel quick. I would definitely choose this company again if I return to Juneau.

Summer, the manager, took charge and ensured everything was resolved, showing exceptional hospitality. I can't express enough gratitude for her dedication, which turned a challenging situation into a wonderful day. Her ability to manage issues truly reflects great leadership and customer service. Thanks to Summer, we ultimately had a great day and successfully spotted whales, which was our main goal. The glacier tour was beautiful, and although the weather and waters were rough, Captain Jay and his assistant Rio expertly navigated the challenging conditions to provide us with an unforgettable whale watching experience. Captain Jay was not only skilled but also committed to ensuring everyone had the experience they wanted, while Rio's enthusiasm and knowledge about whales shone through. They prioritized everyone's safety and well-being from beginning to end, making the entire event a dream come true.
Spending a day in Juneau with Brendan, Sam, CJ, and Aurora was fantastic. They were not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. The team went out of their way to help us after we missed our original tour time due to shuttle problems. I highly recommend choosing this wonderful group for your tour.
Incredible experience! We were able to see Orcas and humpback whales breaching. The team treated us exceptionally well and even waited for us when our cruise ship arrived late.
